Ascendant Studios’ first-person adeventure game, Immortals of Aveum, received a new trailer at the Summer Game Fest 2023 that showed off plenty of story and gameplay for fans eager to get their hands on the game to check out.

The trailer gave a look into gameplay on different levels of Aveum, as well as showing off Jak and other characters that are part of the story. Many different magic abilities were shown off that the player can use while they join the battlemages of Aveum to save the world. The trailer also showed off an enormous world for players to explore on Aveum. This includes a colossal suit of armor used as a ship out at sea that is attacked by magic flying ships in one of the levels of the game, where Jak will have to reach the control room using his abilities.

The game is a first-person magic game that features three different colors of magic for players to use as they fight to save a world on the edge of the abyss. Jak is the main character, a rare mage that is able to use all three colors of magic; red, blue, and green. The world of Aveum has been in danger for a while over the struggle for magic, and is the brink of collapse from the Everwar by the time Jak joins the order of battlemages.

Ascendant Studios was formed back in 2018 by veteran develops from Call of Duty and Dead Space, highly acclaimed titles in the gaming sphere. This is Ascendant’s first original IP, with high expectations being for the studio’s first big release.

The game is set to release this summer on July 20, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and for PC on Epic Games Store, Steam, and EA app.

The game is nearing release, so plenty of footage has been shown on both gameplay and story, and we will continue to update players as the game nears launch.
