The Dead Space remake is set to release on the 27th of January 2023. Being a remake, will we be seeing any additional content and game modes? Well, as we have heard from interviews with directors of the game, we will be seeing a blend of both new and old content together. So, with new things in the work, as well as returning things, is Dead Space remake co op?
Dead Space Remake System Requirements
Unfortunately, neither publisher EA nor developer Motive Studios have mentioned any plans for the new Dead Space 2023 to have co-op game modes, but that’s not to say it never will!
Dead Space remake will not feature co-op
Unfortunately, it’s looking very likely that the Dead Space remake will not partake in any multiplayer or cooperative game modes. Coming to next-gen, this is largely in part to this being a remake, rather than a reboot and, as such, follows the original pretty closely. The original release of Dead Space had no co-op or multiplayer features, and so that’s the case here too.
However, other later games such as Dead Space 3 did have co-op game modes, which would see you fighting PvE, and Dead Space 2 had multiplayer options.
So there is still a chance that whilst we may not get it immediately, the fan base of the original games and their co-op modes might warrant a DLC or update.
Is the Dead Space Remake multiplayer?
No, the Dead Space remake will not be multiplayer. The idea of the game is that you spend your time isolated and alone. Multiplayer would take away the core fundamentals of the game.
