Is Dumbledore in Hogwarts Legacy?

Dumbledore is pretty darn old by the start of the Harry Potter series, so just how far back does he go? Well, we’ve seen him as a middle-aged man in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindlewald in 2018, and that was set around 1926, so the setting for Hogwarts Legacy might line up nicely.

So, the question is: is Dumbledore in Hogwarts Legacy? Well, at the moment, we cannot be sure, unfortunately, despite the timeline being fairly in sync with Hogwarts Legacy. Perhaps we might see Dumbledore in a way we never have.

You heard us! The timeline speaks for itself. Despite having little to go off, there’s always a chance that the game will allow for some degree of fan service, even if it is a one of easter egg.

J.K Rowling is no stranger to appealing to fans, answering theories and questions on Twitter, and with her distanced help with the project, we might indeed see Dumbledore in his early years as a student.

That being said, as Avalanche have said, and can be seen in trailers, the game will explore the “unwritten” world of Harry Potter. So perhaps it is fair to assume from this that we will be seeing mainly new characters, names and creatures.

Is Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer or coop?

What the trailers have also given us is a fairly extensive look at the gameplay, but we cannot be sure truly of the official storyline or narrative of the game as of yet, and even the length of the game still remains a mystery. So, you never know!

Is Hogwarts Legacy an MMO or RPG?

These characters will most likely be returning as NPCs and seldom seen, but it gives us hope that Dumbledore could make an appearance!

Who is the Headmaster in Hogwarts Legacy?

If it’s not Dumbledore – which we’re pretty confident it’s not – who is it then? Well, the answer to that is Phineas Nigellus Black, a “cantankerous Headmaster” who comes from “a long lineage of Slytherins”. He will be voiced by Simon Pegg.

Phineas is said to be “hated by the students” and wildly “ill-suited to his job”. He is also an ancestor of Sirius Black. Check out more on his character here in this video.
