The newest original title from Square Enix, Foamstars, was revealed for the first time in a colorful trailer during the PlayStation showcase. Foamstars will bring foam based combat to the party shooter genre, with plenty of fun and plenty of foam blasting. Fans are wanting to know where they can find the new title, and on what platforms. Will Foamstars be on Xbox One?

Is Foamstars available on Xbox One?

No, it seems Foamstars will not be available on Xbox One. The platforms announced during the reveal trailer for the game were the following:

  • PlayStation 4
  • PlayStation 5

Xbox One was not on the list, and Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC were absent as well. The game is likely to be a PlayStation only exclusive, even though it does appear on the last gen console PS4.

Foamstars is a 4v4 party shooter game where players compete against another team for victory by shooting foam at each other. Foam is not only used for ammunition, but can also be used as a defense against enemy attacks and used to build up terrain on the map to climb up to and glide along with surfboards.

A diverse cast of characters, the Foamstars themselves, will make up a large range of combat abilities and colorful, expressive protagonists to play as. The game is coated in bright neon foam and bubbles, making the game perfect for a party setting.

As just the reveal trailer was released, fans will have to wait for more information on gameplay, story, and game modes will be given to fans as the game gets further along in development. Square Enix confirms the team is working hard on the game to get the foam party ready to begin.

If you were on the fence about getting a PS5 console, now might be a good time with several other exclusives coming to the platform, like Phantom Blade Zero, which was also shown off during the showcase.
