Forspoken will be available as of January 24th 2023 on launch day. Players will be able to explore the land of Athia as Frey Holland, with a customizable arsenal of spells and intuitive magic. But with all thing to look forward, and a beautiful open world to explore, is Forspoken free to play?

Forspoken is not free to play

Forspoken will not be a free to play game. The title comes from Square Enix developers, Luminous Productions, creators of other titles such as Final Fantasy 15. The game is set to release January 24th, and is is currently being priced on Steam and the PlayStation Store – as well as other reatilers like Amazon and Best Buy.

The game is currently priced at $69.99 on Steam. But this may be subject to change with other editions and how well the game ages over the year, if you do not necessarily plan on purchasing it now.

Forspoken free demo

Whilst the game will cost you near $70 at the initial release, the game is somewhat free to play before this date.

On December 9, 2022, a free demo for Forspoken was made available to play on PlayStation 5. The free demo was released for PS5 players to enjoy some of the game.

The demo takes place in Avoalet’s Water Garden, a great place for testing out the title’s parkour and combat features, with a total of five objectives that will need to be completed.

Forspoken in available for pre order now across both PC and PS5 retailers.

The pre order comes with plenty of bonuses – according to a tweet from Forspoken’s official Twitter account, PS5 players can bag the following if they pre-order:

Meanwhile, players who pre-order the PC version of the new game will receive:

A Deluxe Edition of Forspoken is also available for £89.99 and with additional content on top of the standard pre-order bonuses above, as well as a digital mini artbook and mini soundtrack.
