Halo Infinite is Microsoft’ flagship launch of 2021. The new Halo infinite game is the first Halo to appear on next-gen consoles, offering players a new open-world story, new multiplayer gameplay features and the usual Forge mode.

For those wondering, “is Halo Infinite on PC” you’ll be pleased to know that Halo Infinite is coming to PC on December 8, just like on Xbox Series X/S. It is the first that a Halo franchise FPS game has come to the PC since Halo 2 (excluding Halo Wars 2, of course, or that weird Halo Forge app on the Windows Store.) Microsoft is finally breaking the more than decade-old trend of Xbox exclusivity.

For those curious, there are two ways you can play Halo Infinite on PC.

  • Steam
  • Windows Store / Xbox Game Pass for PC

343 Studios and Microsoft are designing the Halo Infinite multiplayer to be totally accessible for Xbox and PC players alike. However, you will need to buy Halo Infinite Campaign for the usual AAA asking price of £50, $59.99, or €59.99. Although, if you’re only interested in the Multiplayer, you can get the Halo Infinite Multiplayer for free. Of course, the Halo Infinite Multiplayer will come with the usual Battle Pass purchase options, but it is an optional purchase and doesn’t affect your gameplay.

Getting access to the Halo Multiplayer for free is quite a big deal. The reason why is because 343 Studios has dramatically expanded upon  Halo Infinite’s multiplayer, moving on from Halo 5: Guardians. There is now an Academy that allows you to train against bots and do weapon challenges, amongst other features.

On the other hand, if you subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass, PC players will get the Halo Infinite Campaign from day 1. If your Game Pass subscription runs out, then you’ll either need to renew the subscription or buy the campaign itself.

Please be aware that 343 Studio s has delayed the coop campaign. So, if you only want to play the Halo Infinite Campaign in co-op, keep that in mind whenever you get around to buying the campaign.
