Hogwarts Legacy has a staggered release date, due to the fact it will be released on multiple consoles and multiple generations. Early Access is already underway allowing those that pre-ordered an opportunity to jump into the big Hogwarts Legacy map.
With the PC requirements out, along with some benchmarks, fans are probably wondering if Hogwarts Legacy is coming to Steam Deck.
Hogwarts could be a special game for the Steam Deck and it looks promising!

Is Hogwarts Legacy coming to Steam Deck?
Steam Deck was released in early 2022 and was subsequently met with praise from gamers who were excited to try playing their games away from their desktop PCs. However, whilst Steam games are compatible straight away, other games sometimes don’t perform as well on handheld devices.
This is why Steam Deck owners will now often inquire about upcoming games they’re excited about. But they need not fear, Hogwarts Legacy is confirmed to be coming to Steam Deck by WB Games.
In a tweet made by WBGamesSupport. They do indeed confirm the game is verified for Steam Deck, thus extinguishing any anxieties that Deck owners had about playing Hogwarts Legacy. Read the Tweet below:
Hogwarts Legacy Steam Deck performance
Hogwarts Legacy runs very well on the Steam Deck, especially with FSR 2.0 set to Balanced and Medium Settings.
You can get 60FPS indoors quite comfortably, however, expect the occasional stutter. It is rare to see Hogwarts Legacy in these settings on the Steam Deck drop below 40FPS, so cap it at 30 and never be disappointed.
This is exciting news. We’re so happy that Hogwarts Legacy will get to be enjoyed by so many Harry Potter fans out there. No matter what generation or console, it seems like Avalanche and Portkey Games are more than generous in involving as much of the fanbase in this game’s release as possible.
