Honkai: Star Rail has finally been released on all iOS, Android, and PC platforms, and you’re probably wondering how to get Hoyoverse’s latest Gacha game on your device immediately.

Your first attempt might be to open up Valve’s signature marketplace and check if you can add the new game to your Steam deck, but you might need to hold your horses for the time being. 

Can You Play Honkai: Star Rail On Steam Deck?

Unfortunately, Honkai: Star Rail won’t be released on the Steam Deck. Hoyoverse, the game’s developers, aren’t known for partnering up with Valve’s digital marketplace often, and it seems like the case won’t be any different for their newest release. 

Genshin Impact was by far Hoyoverse’s most popular release, yet it still hasn’t hit the Steam marketplace despite being released all the way back in 2020. If neither Valve nor Hoyoverse has tried to take steps toward its games to Steam, then it’s highly unlikely that we’ll see Honkai: Star Rail in the Steam marketplace anytime soon.

However, the fact still remains that the game’s predecessor Honkai Impact 3rd was released on Steam sometime after its release so there is still some light at the end of the tunnel for Honkai: Star Rail.

Historically, players have come up with ways to download Genshin Impact and similar games that haven’t partnered with Valve on their Steam Deck but you should note that the process is far from hassle-free, and honestly, we’d just recommend going for the traditional route instead of putting yourself through all that trouble.

Nevertheless, for the time being, you can stick with the trusty method of downloading Honkai: Star Rail via the Epic Games launcher if you’re looking to run the game on your PC. Getting it’s just a click away, so unless you’ve got a lifelong vendetta against Epic Games, you shouldn’t have any problems acquiring the game on your PC.
