Sons of the Forest is now otu in the wild and players are getting their teeth into the survival horror game on PC since it’s early access release on the 23rd of February this year. With the game making waves on PC – after finally reaching it given a long saga of setbacks and rescheduling – a lot of other players are wondering: is Sons of the Forest coming to PS5?
This often happens with releases on certain or limited platforms, and is something that piques many folks’ interests, given we all have our platforms of choice. But the current bad news is that Sons of the Forest is not currently coming to PS5, with no indication from developer Endnight Games that this is even in the works.

Is Sons of the Forest on PS5?
With nothing pointing to any form of PS5 Sons of the Forest release, the PC version is the only one available to us. For now.

Is Sons of the Forest next-gen only?
As we’ve laid out in this article, a Sons of the Forest next-gen release is not apparent or likely right now. The game remains exclusive to PC players, and also only in early access. We’ll know more about a next-gen Sons of the Forest release once this period of early access is over – and if there’s any potential for a last-gen releases for PS4 and Xbox One players.

Will Sons of the Forest be on console?
Given the game is in early access still and will be for 6-8 months according to the games’ Steam page, it seems we won’t be hearing anything about any potential console releases until that time passes and the game get its full release.
However, a console release, more broadly speaking, does seem likely due to one big factor: the first game in the series, The Forest, did get a PS4 and Xbox One release – albeit four years after that first went into early access. But this is the core fact that we can cling to in lieu of any hard information at this time.
Will Sons of the Forest be 2 player?
Developer Endnight Games has confirmed that Sons of the Forest “is playable in both single-player and multiplayer with up to 8 players”
