Is Star Wars Jedi Survivor on Xbox One? This is the question on many fans’ lips as we steamroll our way to the game’s release later this week. Fans have been looking forward to the sequel of the Souls-like Star Wars game and are about to receive it – however, owners of previous generation consoles are starting to get a bit worried about if they will be able to play Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
While Fallen Order was released to both current-generation and next-generation consoles, a few years have passed since then. As such, owners of an Xbox One are worried that they will be unable to play Jedi Survivor upon release. Let’s go over if Star Wars Jedi Survivor will release on Xbox One.
Is Star Wars: Jedi Survivor On Xbox One?
Sadly Xbox One will not be getting a release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Although Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order did release on both generations of Xbox, it seems that the sequel will not be following this pattern, and EA and Respawn look happy to draw the lines in the sand between generations with this game. One possible reason for this is due to graphical demand – Jedi Survivor may well be too technically impressive for the last-generation of consoles to run. Even top-end PCs and the current-gen consoles are having issues with the game at the time of writing, with EA set to release a number of patches to fix it.
There’s nothing confirmed about it ever appearing on last-gen either, despite the fact that Hogwarts Legacy will be coming to the older hardware generation in May. To be frank, if it’s not releasing on that older platform at launch then we’re not convinced we’ll ever see it on that platform.
Even if you have Xbox Game Pass, you will have a hard time getting access to the game, regardless of whether you playing on an Xbox Series X|S or PC. While it may be a hard pill to swallow, the Xbox Series X|S consoles are nearly three years old at this point so it’s fair to consider them the true, current generation. Luckily, getting your hands on an Xbox Series X|S is not as hard as it used to be. Most of the time, you can buy it from a store without needing to backorder it. Its not just the Xbox One that won’t be getting a version of Jedi Survivor, some Sony fans are going to be missing out also.
