Yes, Stardew Valley is cross platform, available on PC, Mac PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, and IOS.
While the game isn’t technically out for the likes of the PS5, if you purchase it for the PS4, you can potentially play it on your PS5.
Is Stardew Valley crossplay?
No, Stardew Valley is not a crossplay game.
If you have the game on Steam you can play via online co-op and Lan co-op but that is it.
The game also features split-screen co-op and takes advantage of Remote Play on Phone, Tablet, nad Remote Play Together.
A game like this would be ideal for crossplay, which is quite annoying. Of course, PC and Mac players can play together but that is not really crossplay.
Developers ConcernedApe stated back in 2018 that the “Technical barriers are very high” when the crossplay question was floated.
They even went on to say “It’s still something I really want to add and I promise to look into it more closely, but first priority is getting the update out there.”
This is promising for Stardew Valleys’ development future, however for the time being it is not in that category of game.
