Stray is out this week – and there’s a way you can play the game for FREE – thanks to a seven-day free trial being offered to PS owners.

All you need to do is head over to the PlayStation site, sign up for a seven-day free trial of the Extra and Premium offering, and you’ll get acccess to the will get day one access to Annapurna Interactiv’s latest game.

You’ll need a credit card to sign up, but you’re able to cancel any time. At the time of writing the free trial is only available in Europe.

PlayStation Plus Premium usually costs £13.49 a month, while PS Plus Extra costs £10.99 a month.

What is Stray?

Stray follows the story of a lost family cat – who is trying to escape a long-forgotten city.

It’s a third person game set in the neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly.

The game tests your ability to be stealthy, nimble, silly, and ‘sometimes as annoying as possible with the strange inhabitants of this mysterious world’, according to the developer, BigTwelve Studios.

When is Stray out?

Stray will be available starting July 19 with PlayStation Extra and Premium membership plans at no additional cost, according to PlayStation.

Is Stray coming to Xbox and Nintendo Switch?

No, Stray is not coming to either console. It has only been confirmed for three platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 as of yet.
