Street Figher 6 Fighting Combat 1

Street Fighter 6 is the next game in the Street Fighter series. Characters like Guile, Kimberly, and Chun-li are back and players can once again pull off a Hadouken. Though many may be wondering if you’ll be able to do so on the PlayStation 4. If you have the older system and want to know if you can play the game on Sony’s console, here’s if Street Fighter 6 is coming to the PS4.

Can you play Street Fighter on PS4?

The good news is that, yes, you can play Street Fighter on PS4. The game and all of its features such as exploring Metro City in World Tour, playing through the Fighting Ground mode, and creating your outfit and avatar with the character creation kit, will be completely playable on the last-gen console.

You’ll be able to choose from numerous characters as well including Luke, Jamie, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, Juri, and Ken. With many more for you to choose from during your journey. The game also takes advantage of Capcom’s RE Engine to create a highly evolved combat system.

This means you’ll also be able to play Street Fighter 6 on the PS5 platform as well. Sony is making sure you can play it on all of its major consoles. You can even jump into the open beta, but you’ll need to sign up on the official Capcom ID website to gain access to that version of this game. The use of Capcom ID feature is just for access to the beta, you do not need it to play the game in its full release.

Though, keep in mind that if you want to play specific elements of this game, such as online multiplayer or Battle Hub floor — the core mode of Street Fighter— you will need access to various online services and a valid internet connection. Also, there is age-restricted content, suggestive themes, and mild blood so there may be images or cutscenes not suitable for younger players.

If you just want to enjoy the single-player story mode campaign and fight rivals to become World Warrior and learn the meaning of strength, you can do so without the internet. You can also compete in three control types including Modern, Dynamic, and Classic modes which allow you to choose your desired skill level.

Street Fighter 6 is also available on the Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam on June 2.
