The remake of the pop-culture hit System Shock is coming and it will hopefully revive the franchise. The System Shock remake will feature better graphics, updated controls, and the return of some of the original voice actors. It will definitely be a worthwhile return for the franchise.
Since System Shock is a new game, there are going to be questions about what systems the game can be played on. Thanks to more games coming to the next-gen consoles, the older-gen systems are being phased out. What does this mean for PC? Is System Shock coming to PC?
Will System Shock be on PC?
If you are hoping to play the System Shock Remake on PC, you are in luck. The developers behind the game announced that it will be coming to PC via Steam. This was revealed in the frequently asked questions section of the official System Shock Kickstarter page.
Not only will the game be on PC, but it will also be available on PS4 and Xbox One. This means that those who are still using the older-generation systems will be able to play the game when it releases. To make things even better, System Shock doesn’t have demanding specs on the PC, making it more accessible than other recent games.
If you want to pre-purchase the game, you can do so by visiting the System Shock Steam store page. Unfortunately, those who want the game on PS4 or Xbox One won’t be able to pre-order the game since the store pages aren’t available yet.
System Shock releases on May 30 on all systems except the Nintendo Switch. Leading up to the release, you can download a special demo on Steam to try out the game. System Shock is similar to games like Doom and Wolfenstein so if you are a fan of high-octane shooters, odds are you will like it.
