Will the Zombie genre ever die out? Well, apparently not, as the name would suggest Zombie games are looking more undying than ever. So after 2020 January, developer FNTASTIC announced The Day Before, a zombie, post-apocalyptic survival MMO is finally set to release March 1st 2023.

When we say multiplayer, we mean massively multiplayer. So much so that it’s turning heads to this game even after such a long time in development. So, is The Day Before multiplayer/PvP?

The answer is yes; that, and more. Read on to find out all we know on this right now.

Is The Day Before cross platform & crossplay?

The Day Before MMO & Multiplayer features

You can’t find a better summary for this game than the official description given for The Day Before: “You wake up alone in a world you no longer remember, setting out to find answers and the resources to survive.” This task is not yours alone to bare. You will play online with friends and others in a bid for survival.

This comes with a heavily emphasis on scavenging, according to some interviews.

According to MyTona, it is “set in a deadly, post-pandemic America overrun by flesh-hungry infected and survivors killing each other for food, weapons, and cars.” Sound familiar? For a game first announced during COVID, this’ll strike a chord for sure.

So, if you’re looking for a multiplayer option that’ll mix up The Last Of Us and The Division, this it it.

The Day Before PvP & PvE

PvP plays a large role in The Day Before. Plus, devs have assured us that you’ll be able to run into players anywhere on the map, and that there will be no “The Division-style Dark Zone” (via SVG.com and Everyeye.it).

Team up, fight them, decieve them, ambush them. It seems like you can mix up any number of options to simulate the new moral and ethical code that’s been instilled since the fall of humanity as we know it.

If you don’t want to play PvP, that’s no problem either, as FNTASTIC revealed you will also be able to play offline, purely in a PvE sphere. This means you can take your survival solo.
