The original Talos Principle was released on multiple systems. Overall, it could be found on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. At the time, these were the lastest consoles. Now, there are even more systems that The Talos Principle 2 can be released on.

With the next-gen consoles getting more and more releases, the sequel to the Talos Principle may not be seeing a release on the previous generation systems. Less people may be able to experience the mind-bending puzzles and secrets the game will have. Will The Talos Principle 2 be on Xbox One?

Will The Talos Principle 2 be on Xbox One?

If you are looking for a quick answer, it is looking like The Talos Principle 2 will only be released on next-gen consoles. This means that it won’t be getting a release on the Xbox One, PS4, or Nintendo Switch.

When the game was announced at the PlayStation Showcase by Croteam, the trailer revealed that The Talos Principle 2 will be released on the Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.

The Talos Principle 2 is a puzzle game that will feature gravity manipulation and new puzzle mechanics not features in the original. Similar to its predecessor, The Talos Principle 2 will feature a richer storyline with themes centered around the nature of the cosmos.

You will play as a robot whose focus is to reach a mysterious megastructure. Along the way, you will learn about the downfall of humanity and learn how to not repeat humankind’s mistakes. This first-person puzzle game takes place in the distant future when human culture has vanished and only remnants remain.

Much like the game’s predecessor, you will traverse surreal environments on a large scale. This is most likely the reason the game won’t see a release on last-gen consoles. The newer systems have a much better processing speed and will be able to handle all of the effects much easier than the older consoles.

It looks like many of the games revealed at the PlayStation Showcase will be coming to the next-gen consoles with Phantom Blade 0 being one of them.
