Everyone seems excited about the upcoming game. But unfortunately, not everyone who wants to play the game might have access to the next generation of consoles. Crossplay will allow lobbies to have players from every single console that is supported by Warzone 2.0.

Everyone knows Warzone 2.0 is coming to the current generation of consoles; it’s absolutely confirmed by now. Of course, it is great news for many players because there will be a bigger pool of players because not everyone has upgraded their consoles just yet.

However, many fans have pointed out the disadvantages of including both generations of consoles for the next iteration of Warzone. Activision has pointed out multiple times that they’ve tried to make Warzone 2.0 as amazing as they could.

In fact, they made a totally new engine for the game, added a new map, introduced all sorts of weapons, changed the way the Gulag works, and much more. But all of these new additions might not get to live out to their full potential due to the hardware limitations of the current generation of consoles.

Luckily, and also unluckily, consoles were able to take a huge leap as they shifted from the current gen to the next-gen. The hardware was improved so much that we still haven’t gotten games that fully explore the limitations of the consoles. 

But if Warzone 2.0 was developed while considering the limits of consoles, such as PS4, then it definitely wouldn’t even come close to utilizing everything that the future generation holds. 

Despite all of these factors, being able to play Warzone 2.0 on PS4 is still a huge advantage, especially for casual gamers. And if the hardware limitations get too much, Warzone 2.0 could leave the current generations later down the line and focus on just the next-gen consoles too!
