How to get Lost Ark Mounts and how to manage them

Whether you’re an MMORPG veteran or Lost Ark is your first foray into the genre, you’ll no doubt already want a mount to help carry you across the vast, open-world expanse that is Arkesia. Thankfully, it doesn’t take too long after getting started in Lost Ark to get your very first mount, a choice of three Horses. Here, we walk you through how to get that first mount, how to manage your mounts, and where to add to your collection.
How to get your first mount in Lost Ark
Your first Mount will be gifted to you as part of the Town Where Light Lingers questline. After completing the prologue – which you can choose to skip at any point, though you will leave at a lower level – you’ll accept an invite and hop on a ride with Armen to Prideholme. On your way to Prideholme, you’ll complete a couple of short quests ending at Prideholme Cathedral, where you will choose one of three horses to take with you on your adventure. Voila! You have your first Lost Ark mount.
Where to get more mounts in Lost Ark
As with most MMORPGs, as you continue your quest through Arkesia, you’ll be able to collect more Mounts and Pets by talking to NPCs and completing side quests and main story quests. Some can be obtained by map completion of certain Continents, completing certain quests in specific areas, and some can also be purchased. For example, you can currently obtain the Dyorika Warhorse Mount by purchasing the Explorer Starter Pack or Vanquisher Starter Pack on Amazon or Steam.
How to access and manage your Mount collection
Once you have your first Mount in Lost Ark, you’ll be able to access your collection using Alt + V. This will bring up your collection, and from here you can drag your chosen Mount into a Quickslot at the bottom of the screen.
Mounts are locked to your account, not a character, meaning all Mounts you earn in-game will transfer across your main character and your alts. Just press Alt + V while playing as any of your characters and your full list of Mounts will appear.
You can also access your Mount menu from the main game menu.
