Update: We are a few months into the western launch of the Lost Ark western release. And now, there is a whole new Feiton Powerpass that levels players up to 960 item level as long as they have done the content required. You can check out more on that to get yourself a free Tier 2 character without much effort.

The Lost Ark closed beta has finally arrived in the west, offering the western audience the first real experience of playing Lost Ark without VPNs. Since Lost Ark is a fairly brand new game, with many getting into it, especially after the Twitch Drops, the game is throwing us into the deep end. When you make your character,  Smilegate offers two options: the standard playthrough and the Lost Ark Power Pass.

All you need to know on the Lost Ark Power Pass

When you first start up Lost Ark, you are prompted with the create a character screen. You’ll select the class archetype you want, along with any male or female versions of the class you want. You’ll make your manfu or waifu, then get round to naming them and heading the character select screen.

As you get on your character select screen, you’ll see your freshly made character, along with the login options. But, before you login into a new character, you get two options. The first is the regular playthrough titled the Adventurer playthrough. In this setting, you’ll start at level 10. It is the way you are supposed to play the game, leveling up as normal, along with getting your skill upgrades and progressive gearing.

However, there is a fast track leveling system, called the Lost Ark Power Pass. The option is located at the bottom centre of the screen. The option allows the Lost Ark beta players to immediately boost their character to level 50, the current cap in the game. You’ll get character level gear for the level, but nothing too overpowered. Plus, you’ll get the end game quests for that character, allowing you a glimpse at the end game.

For the sake of beta testing, those who feel comfortable jumping to end game straight away can use the Power Pass to test end game content. Expect to find content such as the PvP arena competitive modes, along with trying out end game dungeons, islands, and other traditional MMO PvE content. Just a warning, Smilegate is only offering one Power Pass token per account in the beta.

If you want to test the classes out in Lost Ark, you should make a class and use the test feature before authenticating the character. The test feature allows players a quick glimpse at each subclass’s spells in their arsenal, offering a feel of what to expect with each subclass. You should then use the Power Pass on the class you like the most and want to try at the end game while you’re still in beta.

If you’re interested in reading more about the Lost Ark Power Pass, you can check out the official beta patch notes on the Lost Ark western website.

What is the Lost Ark Trixion Pass?

Moreso, the Lost Ark Power Pass is also called the Trixion Pass, which is the microtransaction character boost you can get in the main game. The pass is currently available in the RU and KR versions of the game, so expect the Western version to get the same treatment at some point.

Expect to encounter a similar process when the game goes live on its full release in March 2022. The Western versions will be different, as players will have different content at launch than what is live in Korea and/or Russia. The only difference is that the Lost Ark Trixion Pass will boost players to the appropriate end game content. If you see conflicting official information about what a Trixion Pass offers at launch, you know why.
