The Sea of Indolence is Lost Ark’s third T2 end game Abyss Dungeon. It is also the first Gate of Paradise Abyss Dungeon and the first eight-player Dungeon you will encounter. This guide will cover all of the tips, strategies and mechanics you need to master in order to come out victorious!

To enter Sea of Indolence, you will need to have two parties with four players in each.  All of these players need to be item level 960+ and need to have completed all of the previous Abyss Dungeons, such as Road of Lament and Forge of Fallen Pride. The party will also need to have completed the Feiton questline. You can use matchmaking or find party features to group up and tackle these dungeons.

Lost Ark Sea of Indolence Abyss Dungeon Mechanics and Tactics

Sea of Indolence is a pretty unique Abyss Dungeon. Players will take on the first part of this dungeon wearing scuba gear and with a new set of abilities. After the first boss, players will lose their suit and an oxygen mechanic will be introduced. A slowly emptying ring will appear above your head, indicating how much oxygen you have remaining. To refill your oxygen, you simply need to stand on oxygen bubbles or interact with the underwater plants marked on your mini-map.

Deep Sea Orboros tactics, tips and mechanics

Deep Sea Orboros is a pretty straightforward boss. Most of their attacks are pretty telegraphed and easy to dodge, these include cone attacks and AOE circles that rain down. There are only two major mechanics to keep in mind during this fight.

  1. Deep Sea Orboros will summon a shark creature to fight by his side during the fight. You will want to switch your whole focus over to him. Once he dies you will receive a large damage buff making the rest of the fight a lot easier.
  2. If you do get hit by Deep Sea Orboros’ abilities, you will gain a damage over time stack. If you stack up too many of these, the damage can become pretty scary. Make sure you have Panaceas in order to clear the effects, we recommend using them at around four stacks. Having a Paladin in your party is great as they can clear it with their Holy Protection Purify tripod. As can Gunlancers and Soulfists if they opt for the right skill and tripod.

Indolence Sentinel Akam tactics, tips and mechanics

Indolence Sentinel Akam does not feel like a super difficult boss considering some of the other Abyss Dungeons you will have played through by this stage. He does, however, have both a wipe and stun mechanic you are going to want to pay attention to during this battle.

  • Stun – Indolence Sentinel Akams’ attacks will add a stack to you when they hit. You can take three hits and allow the stack to build three times before you should clear it with a Panacea (or coordinate with your cleanse classes). On the fourth hit, you will be petrified and need your party to break you out. A purple bar will indicate how many more hits will break you free. Likewise, you will want to break any trapped teammates free. Hopefully in time for the next ability.
  • Wipe – A message will pop up a few seconds before this is about to happen. Then, a golden circle will appear on the floor around a random party member which a red AEO field will spread from. You need to quickly move inside this circle to avoid being one-shot.
