There are three dimensions in vanilla Minecraft: Overworld, Nether, and End Dimension. The Overworld is where players spawn when they first enter a Minecraft world. This is the only dimension in Minecraft where time flows and daylight cycles occur. In the nether and end dimensions, on the other hand, there is no such thing as day or night. As a result, it is constantly dark.

Players must walk via their own portals to enter the other two dimensions. To enter the Nether, they must pass via the nether portal. Players must utilize an end portal with all twelve eyes of the ender to enter the end dimension. The end portal can only be found in Strongholds and cannot be built by the player in survival mode. Let’s find out how to build Nether and End portals in Minecraft.

In order to create a Nether portal in Minecraft, players will require obsidian, a large block generated when a source of water collides with lava. Obsidian may be found at lava lakes and in abandoned portals. Obsidian can be mined using a diamond pickaxe or a better tool.

At least 10 obsidian blocks are required to create a 4×5 nether portal with no edges. It’s not enough to just construct the gateway frame. Players must ignite the gateway from the inside to activate it. They may do it using flint and steel, which are formed of flint and iron, respectively.

Following these procedures will allow players to quickly construct a Nether portal:

First, arrange the obsidian in a 4×5 grid vertically. It can be made larger by the players, but the order must be preserved. The participants are not needed to place any blocks on the portal’s four sides. Use a flint and steel or a firecharge to light the gateway.

How to build End Portal in Minecraft

Since there are no collectible items in survival mode, such as the End portal frame, players can only create an end portal in creative mode. They may, however, construct an End gateway in Minecraft by following the procedures below:

Step 1: Using the Ender Portal Frame, make a 5×5 frame for the portal with no blocks on the four corners.

Step 2: Place an Eye of Ender on each portal frame to activate it.

Players must ensure that the green tabs on top of the end portal frames face the portal’s inside. Players will be able to establish a working End gateway by following the instructions outlined above.
