Woodland mansions are the rarest structures in Minecraft. Dark Forest is the only biome in the entire game where you can find these mysterious mansions and they can be very difficult to locate. If you want to get some Totems of Undying, finding a woodland mansion is your only option. Here is a quick guide to help you find woodland mansions in Minecraft.
How to find Woodland Mansions
Dark Forests: The best way to find woodland mansions is to spot Dark Forest biomes. If you manage to spot a woodland mansion among the trees, consider yourself lucky. Dark forests are already rare, to begin with, and finding the mansions within them gets even trickier.
Woodland Explorer Maps: To locate the mansions, you should consider purchasing the woodland explorer maps. They can be purchased from Journeyman cartographer villages for a compass and 14 emeralds. Even though they are expensive to purchase, they will mark the exact spot where you will find woodland mansions in Minecraft.
But there is an issue when it comes to using woodland explorer maps. They do not always mark the nearest mansions, which means that you may miss a mansion or two without even knowing. We recommend keeping an eye out for Dark Forest biomes whenever you are exploring to increase your chances of finding the mansions.
Using Commands: If you do not mind using commands to get access to the woodland mansions, you can directly spawn them in your world. Here’s how:
- Enable cheats on your server/world
- Type “/locate mansion” in the chat
- The game will offer you coordinates to find woodland mansions
- Click on the coordinates to teleport to the marked woodland mansion
