After Mojang released Part 1 of the Minecraft Cave & Cliffs update, players were able to access a slew of new objects and features. Amethyst geodes are one of the new buildings added to the game as part of the Caves & Cliffs update.
Players will be able to find special blocks such as calcite and amethyst inside these geodes. Spyglass and tinted glass are two new products that require amethyst shards to make. These shards may be obtained by mining amethyst crystals found inside geodes.
Top Places to find Amethyst Geodes
- Ravines and Mineshfts
If the player is fortunate, they may come upon a ravine with an exposed amethyst geode within. Geodes may override mineshafts in the game, hence they’re frequently found inside mineshafts. Even if there isn’t a geode inside the mineshaft, players have a decent chance of locating one that has been somewhat exposed.
- Caves
Geodes, like mineshafts, can be used to bypass caverns in Minecraft environments. This may change after the Caverns & Cliffs update Part 2 is released, but for now, exploring caves is one of the most straightforward methods to locate a geode. Players must explore within caverns at that height since geodes do not produce below Y level 70.
- Mining
Amethyst geodes are rather uncommon, with each piece having a 1/53 chance of producing one. Players mining at that level have an excellent chance of discovering one because these geodes emerge between Y levels 0 and 70.
Strip mining is one of the finest ways to discover a geode, and it may also be used to get a variety of other commodities. Amethyst blocks may be mined with any type of pickaxe.
- Beach
Amethyst geodes are classified as subterranean structures since they may be found below Y level 70, yet they can also form on the surface. Beaches in Minecraft are ideal for discovering exposed geodes on the surface since they are frequently of similar height.
- Oceans
