Mortal Kombat 1 comes with a few editions, one being the Kollector’s Edition. It is the best edition that you can get and most likely has you wondering if it’s worth the investment. Below, we’ll let you know everything it comes in and help you decide if it’s a worthwhile purchase.

What Comes in Mortal Kombat 1 Kollector’s Edition?

The Mortal Kombat 1 Kollector’s Edition is a special edition package that comes with exclusive items to make your Mortal Kombat experience even better. The price is a high $249.99 (SRP), and this edition will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at select retailers.

Here’s what you can expect to find in the Mortal Kombat 1 Kollector’s Edition:

  1. All Premium Edition Content: The Kollector’s Edition includes all the content from the Premium Edition of Mortal Kombat 1. This means you’ll have access to additional characters, skins, and other in-game bonuses, enriching your gameplay experience.
  2. Liu Kang Sculpture by COARSE: One of the highlights of the Kollector’s Edition is a stunning 16.5-inch Liu Kang sculpture designed by COARSE. Mortal Kombat fans will appreciate this statue of the main character for many of the Mortal Kombat games.
  3. Inspired Liu Kang In-Game Character Skin: This is an exclusive in-game character skin inspired by Liu Kang.
  4. Three Exclusive Art Prints: Each print features stunning artwork that captures the essence of the game’s characters and environments. This is a pretty standard addition to a collector’s edition.
  5. Steel Case: The Kollector’s Edition includes a steel case. This provides protection for your game disc and normally has some kind of artwork on the cover.
  6. Early Access to Mortal Kombat 1: You get to play on September 14, 2023 instead of September 19, 2023.
  7. Additional Dragon Krystals: The Kollector’s Edition offers 1,450 additional Dragon Krystals which add to the Premium edition’s 1,250. This means you’ll get a total of 2,700 Dragon Krystals.
    • Dragon Krystals are used to unlock various cosmetic items, customization options, and other exclusive content.

Remember that Mortal Kombat 1 Kollector’s Edition is only available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Should I Buy Mortal Kombat Kollector’s Edition?

We’d say yes but only if you really want it. The Kombat Pack, and the ability to play early just because you pre-order this limited edition seems like a great idea. Standard edition is for those who just want the game and aren’t concerned with days of early access, possible new kameo fighters, or the ability to play as Shang Tsung. If you’re into Mortal Kombat as a die-hard fan, like knowing the origins of Scorpion and Mileena, excited for the new fighting system, and are a huge fan of Netherrealm studios, then this is worth it.

It all comes down to how much you love the franchise and how much you want exclusive physical and in-game collectibles. A Kollector’s Edition may be a good choice for Mortal Kombat fans who want to show off their love for the series or just want to play early.
