The NBA 2K23 release date has been officially set for the 9th of September, 2022.

Pre-orders for NBA 2K23 have been available since the 7th of July, which is when fans discovered the prices for each edition.

There are five NBA 2K23 Editions available – the Standard Edition, WNBA Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, Michael Jordan Edition, and Championship Edition.

Prices

With launch just a little over a week out, the prices are live for fans to view and assess for themselves.

Earlier this month, 2K announced their very own WNBA Edition, which features superstars Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird on the cover.

Similarly to that of last year, the standard edition of the game will cost less on older generation consoles (PS4, Xbox One).

On that note, here’s a look at all of the prices for each edition:

• Standard Edition (Last-Gen): $60.00
• Standard Edition (Next-Gen): $70.00
• WNBA Edition (Next-Gen Only): $70.00
• Digital Deluxe Edition: $80.00
• Michael Jordan Edition: $100.00
• Championship Edition: $150.00

Will it cost the same on PS4?

On the PS4, NBA 2K23 will be somewhere between $5/£5 – $10/£10 cheaper than the next-gen version (PS5).

Will it cost the same on Xbox One?

On the Xbox One, NBA 2K23 will cost between $5/£5 – $10/£10 cheaper than the next-gen version (Xbox Series X/S).

Is PC going to receive next-gen upgrades?

Unfortunately, it looks as though NBA 2K23 on the PC platform is still going to be the previous-gen version.

The PC and Nintendo Switch platforms won’t receive the next-gen upgrades we see on the Xbox Series X and PS5 version, despite popular demand.

Will it be free on Xbox?

No. Initially when released, NBA 2K23 will cost money.

Later on in the game’s life, we might see it added to Xbox Game Pass as we did with NBA 2K22.
