The New World December update has arrived, and with it comes the new expertise mechanic. There’s plenty of new content to jump in and enjoy, such as the Winter Convergence event and the rep and rewards from it. While there is a Christmas event to get involved with, there’s also great improvements to the old watermark system, which is changing to the expertise system.
Anyone who still needs to get their watermark up will now encounter the Expertise system. The new system requires daily activity, which you can get through a new Gypsum mechanic. Here is everything you need to know on the New World expertise system along with how to get Gypsum in New World.
How to get Gypsum New World
For players who are looking to get themselves a better watermark, you’ll need Gypsum. There are typically seven different types of Gypsum, which all relate to various gameplay vertices in the game. If you prefer Expedition content, you can kill the end bosses of expeditions to get Sapphire Gypsum. Alternatively, you can beat an arena and get Citrine Gypsum. New World Expertise system
The New World Expertise system is the replacement to the watermark system New World launched with. Players can now go out of their way to do the content they like and get expertise on their gear. No more will players need to sit and farm the Myrkgard elite zone.
Moreso, if you are dedicated to the cause, you can farm all the different New World Gypsum routes and get 8 expertise improvements a day. Though, you need a lot of time for that.
