Overwatch 2 Season 2 was released on December 6th 2022, and that means a second Battle Pass. Much like the first season of Overwatch 2, the Battle Pass brings with it new limited time offers and rewards to be had. New skins, and new heroes, here’s everything we expect. When Blizzard launched their sequel to the famous hero-based online shooter, they also introduced a new seasonal system model. Each new season is going to come with new goodies and unique opportunities. Here’s what you need to know about Season 2.

Overwatch 2 Season 2 Battle Pass

The Overwatch 2 Season 2 Battle Pass will be available for players to buy and also to unlock for free. You may buy the Battle Pass for around $10, which amounts to 1000 Overwatch Coins, or you can grind away at challenges to unlock a number of rewards on the pass for free. The choice is yours!

Do note, however, that if you’re interested in every single reward Season 2’s Battle Pass has to offer, you will in fact have to purchase the Premium Battle Pass instead.

Season 2 – Ramattra new tank hero is easier to earn

Also up for grabs for Overwatch 2 fans in Season 2 is the brand new tank hero not seen before in previous iterations of the game, Ramattra. Ramattra is a tank with two options to suit your style of play. Firstly, in Omnic mode, you can stay back and guard your team whilst dealing poke damage. Second, enter Nemesis mode and rush head long into the frey and meet the enemy face to face.

Since the official release of season 2, Ramattra has been made easier to earn. In a tweet, Aaron Keller wrote “we’re moving Ramattra in to Tier 45 of the Battle Pass and making a few more weekly challenges easier to complete”, meaning that Ramattra will become available to more people in quicker succession.

Either grind your way to Tier 55, or purchase the Premium Battle Pass to unlock this new tank hero. The choice is up to you.

Season 2 – Zeus Junker Queen Mythic Skin

In addition to a new character, we have been given a sneak peek at the newest Mythic Skin on offer for our heroes. The newest Mythic Skin is given to Junker Queen, following Genji’s Mythic Skin in Season 1.

Junker Queen’s newest skin adorns her in a celestial looking costume fit for the Pantheon of Gods. Unlock this new Zeus lightning-clad skin at the very end of the Battle Pass (Tier 80).
