The long-awaited Persona 3 Reload announcement trailer from Atlus was shown at Xbox Showcase on June 11, after leaks revealed the trailer would be at the showcase.
Persona 3 fans have been hoping for a remake of the classic game for years now, and Atlus is giving them what they want with Persona 3 Reload showing off the beautiful new art style. Rumors have been around for months now that the game would receive a remake, but unfortunately, a leak revealed the game’s trailer, along with the Persona 5 Tactica trailer that also played at the showcase. This leak was from Atlus West’s Instagram but was quickly deleted.
Persona 3 Reload confirmed as official Persona 3 remake
The trailer showed off gameplay and in-game cutscenes of the beloved JRPG series, with combat, and interaction with characters. The update of the classic Persona game includes updated graphics and UI, to more closely resemble the equally popular Persona 5. All the favorite characters, including the protagonist, will be included.
Persona 3 was originally released in 2006, and fans have been asking for a remake of the game, especially with the popularity Persona 5 gained. Fans have been holding their breath for this remake for a while now, and finally, information has been given. The game will still include the acclaimed story and the genre-defining RPG mechanics the Persona series is known for, all with updates to bring the classic game into the modern gaming sphere.
No official release date was given, but the game is expected to release in early 2024 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and on Xbox Game Pass.
