This guide is about Enamorus, you can go see our other guides for Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus for how to catch them.

These three and their new fourth companion are maybe one of the most annoying, downright awful to even deal with Pokémon in the entire game. This is worse than the hordes of Paras that lurk in the grass.

Fast-moving with a vague and ungodly amount of line of sight, they will spot you immediately and begin zipping around the area in ways that you will and I repeat, you will be chasing them around too.

Ha. HAHAHAHAHA. Haaaa. This almost made me go full Joker on the game, as I very seriously consider it to be such an annoyance, I’ve repeatedly had to delete the various swear words from my draft.

Enamorus is far more aggressive than the previous three and can be only unlocked by completing the Pokédex entries and visiting Cogita, who will in turn introduce you to Enamorus.

It lives in the Crimson Mirelands’ Scarlet Bog, which is especially annoying as you can’t surf on the waters, nor really do much of anything when stuck in the mud. Smoke bombs and other stealth items will be required, so be sure to take note of the pattern it moves in and avoid its tornados – they cause confusion.

Everything in this area spits poison pretty much, so you’ll want to keep moving and avoid the line of sight as much as possible. If you’re hurt, fly away and turn around again.

There’s no technique to this other than stealth, throw something from behind and hope you catch it off guard.

Once caught, head back to Cogita and unlock the Reveal Glass, allowing you to transform these ugly characters into surprisingly worse designs!
