Pokémon Arceus rewards Let’s Go, Sword and Shield players

A Mythical Pokémon and the Shaymin Kimono set are just some of the loyalty rewards on offer in Pokémon Legends: Arceus if you’ve played recent Pokémon titles.
The Pokémon Company often finds ways of rewarding players of multiple titles, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus is set to be no different. You’ll be able to claim certain cosmetic items as a loyalty reward for playing previous Pokémon Games Let’s Go, Pokémon Sword and/or Pokémon Shield. Read on to find out which rewards you can earn, and how to claim them.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus exclusive loyalty rewards
The Mythical Pokémon Shaymin appears in Arceus
As announced on the official Arceus site, if you have played Pokémon Sword or Shield on the same account on which you are playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you will be able to add Mythical Pokémon Shaymin to your party in its Land Forme. The adorable Grass-type Pokémon appeared in the original Sinnoh region in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and will also be in the remakes in November, 2021.
You will need to complete Pokémon Legends: Arceus in order to catch yourself a Land Form Shaymin, as the encounter won’t come until after you have viewed the game’s end credits. Upon completion of the main story, head back to Jubilife Village and accept a new research task that will now be available to you and will lead to an encounter with Shaymin.
Shaymin Kimono set
Also available to players of Pokémon Sword or Shield will be the Shaymin Kimono set. You’ll be able to earn this earlier in the game than the Shaymin encounter, as you’ll just need to get through about an hour’s worth of gameplay and join the Galaxy Expedition Team. As soon as you have reached this point in the story, you’ll be able to claim the Kimono set from the clothier.
Pikachu and Eevee masks
If you have save data for Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee or Pikachu, you will be able to claim both a Pikachu and Eevee mask. These will be available by speaking to the clothier after joining the Galaxy Expedition Team. If you have played both Let’s Go and Sword/Shield, you will receive the masks and the Kimono set at the same point in the game.
Other Legends: Arceus rewards
If you pre-order Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you’ll be able to collect even more exclusive rewards. The Hisuian Growlithe Kimono set will be available as a pre-order reward, and will be able to be claimed by accessing the Mystery Gift section in the main menu. Mystery Gift functionality should be available from about two hours of playtime.
The Baneful Fox Mask will also be available to those who pre-order the game, and will also be rewarded to players via the Mystery Gift feature. Both the Baneful Fox Mask and the Hisuian Growlithe Kimono Set will need to be redeemed before May 9th, 2022.
And if you can’t wait for the January 28th release date of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, then don’t forget Pokémon Shining Pearl and Brilliant Diamond are available from November 19th, 2021.
