Exeggcute’s name pretty much sums it up perfectly – cute, and an egg. Well, half a dozen eggs to be exact. And I guess the cute part is pretty subjective. But whether you think Exeggcute is cute or not, you might still be missing its shiny variant in Pokémon GO. So here, we’re going to find out whether Exeggcute and its evolutions can be shiny in Pokémon GO.
Can Exeggcute be shiny in Pokémon GO?
Exeggcute was added to Pokémon GO in its shiny variant back in April 2020 as part of a Spring event. As such, the Egg Pokémon’s shiny form has been in the game for two years, so you may have already countered one. However, if your luck is as bad as ours, or you’re simply looking for more, you still have the chance of catching the off-colored group of eggs now.
Can Exeggcutor be shiny in Pokémon GO?
We’re not sure how the Pokémon’s designers came up with this, but somehow the eggs evolve into coconuts – what else? So can you get a shiny coconut tree in Pokémon GO? Again, yes. The Coconut Pokémon was also introduced to the mobile game in its shiny form in April 2020. As such, catch yourself a decent shiny Exeggcute, and you can evolve it into its shiny evolution.
What about Alolan Exeggutor?
Alolan Exeggutor can also be shiny in Pokémon GO, and was actually released into the game before either shiny Exeggcute or the normal shiny form of Exeggutor back in 2019. The reason for this is that the Alolan version is actually a standalone Pokémon in Pokémon GO, and cannot be evolved from Exeggcute.
How do you evolve Exeggcute in Pokémon GO?
To evolve your shiny Exeggcute into an Exeggutor, all you need is 50 Exeggcute Candies. There is no other requirement than that, so you should find it pretty easy to get a shiny Exeggutor – as long as you’re lucky enough to catch that shiny (and cute) Exeggcute first.
