Including the three new Gen 9 starter Pokémon, here’s every Pokémon confirmed for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet so far.

Thank to the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailer released on June 1, 2022, we now know a total of eight of the new Gen 9 Pokémon to make their debuts in the new mainline games. We already know that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be similar to Sword and Shield in that they will feature a mix of both new and existing Pokémon. Here, we’re going to compile all of the Pokémon, both old and new, that will feature in the two new games as we find out about them.

Every Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet so far

In just two Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailers, we’re already developing quite the extensive understanding of just which Pokémon will make up the Gen 9 dex. Alongside the eight brand-new Pokémon that have been revealed, we have gathered together a list of each of the other 31 Pokémon seemingly confirmed in the trailers so far. Of course, we can’t guarantee 100% that these Pokémon will appear as no gameplay footage in final at this point, but it’s almost certain the following Pokémon will be available in Pokémon Scarlet and/or Violet.

We’ve not listed any evolutions that we didn’t see in the announcement trailer or the new June 1 video, because we’re hoping that some of them will turn out to be regional variants. We haven’t seen a regional Golduck or Clawitzer before, and we’d certainly be excited to see a regional Tyranitar variant. On the other hand, we recently met Hisuian Lilligant, so we’re doubtful that there will be another variant of the Petilil evolution. Similarly, Sword and Shield introduced us to Galarian Meowth and its evolution, so does this make it less likely that we’ll get another new Meowth?

We now also know the exact release date for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Take a look at our release date guide for more, and to find out the latest information regarding any pre-order or early-purchase bonuses.

Which existing Pokémon or their regional variants would you like to see in 2022’s Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? Why not continue the conversation in the comments below? Perhaps you’d love a regional Drifblim or Vespiquen? Let us know!
