So you’ve finally got your hands on the long awaited Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. You’ve gotten your hands a on a Manaphy (don’t worry, if you haven’t then check out how to here) and a Mew (psst, here if you need it!). And now you need to expand your Pokedex even more with the Wish Pokemon. Well, here’s the not-so-secret way to get yourself your sleepy wish baby.

First thing’s first, you’ll need to either have a save data from Pokemon Sword or Shield on your switch. If you don’t have one, then don’t worry. You can ask a friend for their cartridge, shove it in your switch and save their game onto your switch. This will be enough to make Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl think you’ve played through it.

After this sneaky way of bypassing the game’s internals, it’s time for you to pick up your new Jirachi.

All you need to do if follow these steps:

  1. Make your way to Floaroma Town.
  2. Find and talk to the elderly woman in the flowers. She’ll be towards the left of the town’s entrance.
  3. She will give you Jirachi!

That’s how easy it is! Of course, if you didn’t have your own save for Sword or Shield, then maybe it involved a bit more hoop jumping. But hopefully you managed to get yourself one.

Note! You can’t get a shiny Jirachi this way. The Jirachi you get from this woman is shiny locked, so no amount of resets or retries will make it shiny. Don’t waste a week trying to get it to be a shiny!

Once you’ve got yourself one, let us know what you named it in the comments if you named it at all! Consider checking out more of our Pokemon content, we cover just about all the new Pokemon games! Especially Pokemon Go and any new releases!
