One of the mystery gifts you can get in the new Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl games is the Manaphy Egg. Similar to the original Sinnoh games, we can get ourselves the cute lil water mythic Pokemon. And don’t worry, there’s no paywall to get the Manaphy egg, instead it’s just a matter of being able to get mystery gifts. If you’re not already unlocked mystery gifts, you can see how to here.

But you need to remember that you can only get the Manaphy Egg for a certain period of time. And that eventually you won’t get access to this special gift.

Getting the Manaphy Egg in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Here are the steps you’ll need to follow to get yourself your own Manaphy. It’s worth remembering that this Manaphy is shiny locked, so no amount of resets will get you a shiny one. But you can breed a Manaphy so you’ll have a chance there.

1. Defeat Roark at the first gym in Oreburgh City.
2. Head to Jubilife City.
3. Go into the Jubilife TV building.
4. Go up to the 3rd Floor.
5. Talk to the TV producer wearing a yellow jacket with purple sleeves.
6. Say Yes.
7. Select EVERYONE HAPPY WI-FI CONNECTION.
8. Open the menu.
9. Go to the Mystery Gift.
10. Select Via the Internet.
11. Yes.
12. Select Manaphy Egg Gift.
13. To hatch the egg, you’ll need to walk around with it in your party for 4,911 steps.
