If you’re like me, then the Slowpoke evolutionary line is just upsetting to look at. I mean I could be wrong, but I feel there’s something off-putting about my beloved Slowpoke being either eaten or encompassed by some random Shelder. To make this evolutionary line worse, comes Galarian Slowking. Who are we going to kid, that ain’t your Slowbro anymore, that’s a parasitic shell controlling the husk of your Slowking.
That being said… Galarian Slowking is coming to Pokémon Go. Neat! So if you do still want to put your harmless Slowpoke through evolution, keep reading to find out how to evolve Galarian Slowpoke and Slowbro.

The Half-Life zombie reminiscent Pokémon was announced to be added to the game by the official Pokémon Go account on twitter.
How to evolve Galarian Slowpoke
In order to evolve your Galarian Slowpoke into its Slowking counterpart, you’ll need to carry out the same requirements as for Galarian Slowbro. While you’ll have to wait until the Pokémon Go Halloween event on October 15th to evolve to Slowking, the first evolution is possible in-game already. The first requirement is easy, you’ll just need 50 Slowpoke candies. If you don’t already have these, you’ll undoubtedly be able to collect them during the Halloween event, as Slowpoke will be appearing in one-star raids. Taking down a Slowpoke in a raid will also likely get you a relatively decent one, too.
The second requirement is slightly more complicated, but should also be quite easy during the Halloween event. You will first need to make the Galarian Slowpoke your buddy. It should be the specific Slowpoke you wish to evolve or it won’t work. Whilst adventuring with Galarian Slowpoke as your buddy, you’ll need to catch 30 Psychic-type Pokémon. You’ll be able to see a counter tallying up your catches on your Slowpoke’s profile. Once you have done this, you’ll be able to evolve to Slowking. You will still be able to evolve to Slowbro by catching 30 Poison-type Pokemon.
