Pokemon Legends: Arceus New Pokemon – All Hisuian Forms

Pokemon Legends Arceus is coming out soon, so here's a reminder of which Pokemon are new and which will be featured!

January is coming sooner than we expected, and with it is the new and exciting Pokemon Legends Arceus game. A new entry to the Pokemon franchise which takes a step back from the typical formula. Needless to say, people are excited. Both veteran players who have been long-standing fans of the game and those who’ve grown bored of the old formula and want something new!

But what us veterans are most excited about are the new Pokemon. As with most new additions to the franchise, Pokemon Legends Arceus will feature New Pokemon. Although, we will of course be seeing old familiar faces. In fact, there’s some Pokemon from just about all generations in this new game. At the bottom of this article, we’ll include a full list of the confirmed Pokemon thus far. Thanks to the people at Nintendo Life!

Pokemon Legends Arceus Release Date

First and foremost, if you needed a reminder… Pokemon Legends Arceus will be released on January 28th 2022.

Pokemon Legends Arceus New Pokemon

As expected, there are some brand new Pokemon. So exclusive to Pokemon Legends Arceus, these are the new Pokemon. These aren’t including the new forms of other Pokemon.

Basculegion

The evolution to Basculin! And furthermore, Basculegion is a water/ghost type which we don’t see all that often! In fact, as per its Pokedex entry:  It is said to have absorbed the souls of other Pokémon from its school, specifically ones that could not withstand the harsh journey upstream. It is empowered by these souls, and uses this power to swim with incredible force, and without ever tiring.

Making the whole water/ghost make more sense!

Kleavor

The next new Pokemon is the bug/rock type Kleavor. An alternative evolution to Scyther! And as expected, we’re following the trend of weaponised arms with this Pokemon. We’ve gone from a scythe to a clamp/claw (or pincers) to the axe-wielding Kleavor!

Wyrdeer

Wyrdeer, the Normal/Psychic Pokemon comes in next. An evolution to Stantler which we’ve also seen – in trailers – can be ridden! Personally, I think it’s about time Stantler saw a little more love. One of the old-school Pokemon that’s kind of been left aside until now!

Pokemon Legends Arceus Starter Pokemon

What got people especially excited was seeing that the starting Pokemon were from varied generations. The next best thing would have – of course – been new starters all together! But this is the second best option.

Perhaps the common link between all the Pokemon Legends Arceus starters are that they’re all spheroid in some way!

Pokemon Legends Arceus New Forms

Since Pokemon Sun and Moon, we’ve seen the introduction of new Pokemon Forms! And considering their popularity, it’s no wonder we’re all pretty hyped to see some of our favourites get some new love!

Here are all the confirmed new forms in Pokemon Legends Arceus, there will still be more to come but these are all that have been confirmed so far!

Hisuian Growlithe

Hisuian Growlithe has been shown, but its evolution has not! What we know so far is that Hisuian Growlithe is a fire and rock type!

Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark

Zorua and Zoroark have now become normal/ghost types! And they certainly look the part. And honestly, their entire backstory is quite sad:

These Zorua migrated to the Hisui region after being driven from other lands by humans, who shunned the Pokémon for manifesting uncanny illusions. But the Zorua perished, unable to survive the harsh Hisuian environment and strife with other Pokémon. Their lingering souls were reborn in this Ghost-type form through the power of their malice toward humans and Pokémon.

This then manifests into them evolving into a very aggressive and territorial Zoroark.

Hisuian Braviary

The brilliantly beautiful Braviary is coming back too! Now a flying/psychic type, this big beast of a bird is imbued with powerful psychic power that it uses to generate shock waves, stunning its victims. At which point it strikes, using its talons to seize its prey.

Hisuian Voltorb

Hisuian Voltorb has abandoned its scowl and turned more chipper. Because it’s now made of wood, get it? Yeah, thanks. Anyway, Hisuian Voltorb is a grass/electric Pokemon, which has only ever been seen before in Mower Rotom! No word yet on a Hisuian Electrode yet.

Aipom	II	Normal	It searches for prey from the tops of trees. When it spots its favorite food, Bounsweet, Aipom gets excited and pounces.
Arceus	IV	Normal	It is told in mythology that this Pokémon was born before the universe even existed.
Basculegion	VIII	Water/Ghost	N/A
Basculin	V	Water	Blue-striped Basculin used to be a common food source. They apparently have an inoffensive, light flavor.
Beautifly	III	Bug/Flying	Beautifly has a long mouth like a coiled needle, which is very convenient for collecting pollen from flowers. This Pokémon rides the spring winds as it flits around gathering pollen.
Bidoof	IV	Normal	It constantly gnaws on logs and rocks to whittle down its front teeth. It nests alongside water.
Bonsly	IV	Rock	This Pokémon lives in dry, rocky areas. As its green spheres dry out, their dull luster increases.
Bronzong	IV	Steel/Psychic	Many scientists suspect that this Pokémon originated outside the Galar region, based on the patterns on its body.
Bronzor	IV	Steel Psychic	Polishing Bronzor to a shine makes its surface reflect the truth, according to common lore. Be that as it may, Bronzor hates being polished.
Budew	IV	Grass/Poison	The pollen it releases contains poison. If this Pokémon is raised on clean water, the poison’s toxicity is increased.
Buizel	IV	Water	It inflates the flotation sac around its neck and pokes its head out of the water to see what is going on.
Buneary	IV	Normal	If both of Buneary’s ears are rolled up, something is wrong with its body or mind. It’s a sure sign the Pokémon is in need of care.
Carnivine	IV	Grass	It binds itself to trees in marshes. It attracts prey with its sweet-smelling drool and gulps them down.
Chatot	IV	Flying	It can learn and speak human words. If they gather, they all learn the same saying.
Chimchar	IV	Fire	The gas made in its belly burns from its rear end. The fire burns weakly when it feels sick.
Chimecho	III	Psychic	In high winds, Chimecho cries as it hangs from a tree branch or the eaves of a building using a suction cup on its head. This Pokémon plucks berries with its long tail and eats them.
Chingling	IV	Psychic	There is an orb inside its mouth. When it hops, the orb bounces all over and makes a ringing sound.
Clefairy	I	Fairy	It is said that happiness will come to those who see a gathering of Clefairy dancing under a full moon.
Combee	IV	Bug/Flying	The members of the trio spend all their time together. Each one has a slightly different taste in nectar.
Croagunk	IV	Poison/Fighting	It makes frightening noises with its poison-filled cheek sacs. When opponents flinch, Croagunk hits them with a poison jab.
Crobat	II	Poison/Flying	This Pokémon flaps its four wings skillfully. Crobat can fly through cramped caves without needing to slow down.
Cyndaquil	II	Fire	Cyndaquil protects itself by flaring up the flames on its back. The flames are vigorous if the Pokémon is angry. However, if it is tired, the flames sputter fitfully with incomplete combustion.
Drapion	IV	Poison/Dark	Its poison is potent, but it rarely sees use. This Pokémon prefers to use physical force instead, going on rampages with its car-crushing strength.
Eevee	I	Normal	Thanks to its unstable genetic makeup, this special Pokémon conceals many different possible evolutions.
Floatzel	IV	Water	Its flotation sac developed as a result of pursuing aquatic prey. It can double as a rubber raft.
Froslass	IV	Ice/Ghost	After a woman met her end on a snowy mountain, her regrets lingered on. From them, this Pokémon was born. Its favorite food is frozen souls.
Gallade	IV	Psychic/Fighting	True to its honorable-warrior image, it uses the blades on its elbows only in defense of something or someone.
Garchomp	IV	Dragon/Ground	Garchomp makes its home in volcanic mountains. It flies through the sky as fast as a jet airplane, hunting down as much prey as it can.
Gastrodon	IV	Water/Ground	Its search for food sometimes leads it onto land, where it leaves behind a sticky trail of slime as it passes through.
Geodude	I	Rock/Ground	Commonly found near mountain trails and the like. If you step on one by accident, it gets angry.
Gible	IV	Dragon/Ground	Gible prefers to stay in narrow holes in the sides of caves heated by geothermal energy. This way, Gible can stay warm even during a blizzard.
Glalie	III	Ice	It has a body of ice that won’t melt, even with fire. It can instantly freeze moisture in the atmosphere.
Gliscor	IV	Ground/Flying	It observes prey while hanging inverted from branches. When the chance presents itself, it swoops!
Graveler	I	Rock/Ground	When it comes rolling down a mountain path, anything in its way gets zapped by electricity and sent flying.
Gyarados	I	Water/Flying	It has an extremely aggressive nature. The Hyper Beam it shoots from its mouth totally incinerates all targets.
Heracross	II	Bug/Fighting	Heracross loves sweet sap and will go looking through forests for it. The Pokémon uses its two antennae to pick up scents as it searches.

Honchkrow	IV	Dark/Flying	Its goons take care of most of the fighting for it. The only time it dirties its own hands is in delivering a final blow to finish off an opponent.
Kleavor	VIII	Bug/Rock	N/A
Lucario	IV	Fighting/Steel	It controls waves known as auras, which are powerful enough to pulverize huge rocks. It uses these waves to take down its prey.
Luxio	IV	Electric	By joining its tail with that of another Luxio, this Pokémon can receive some of the other Luxio’s electricity and power up its own electric blasts.
Luxray	IV	Electric	Luxray can see through solid objects. It will instantly spot prey trying to hide behind walls, even if the walls are thick.
Machoke	I	Fighting	Its muscular body is so powerful, it must wear a power-save belt to be able to regulate its motions.
Magikarp	I	Water	It is virtually worthless in terms of both power and speed. It is the most weak and pathetic Pokémon in the world.
Magmortar	IV	Fire	When Magmortar inhales deeply, the fire burning in its belly intensifies, rising in temperature to over 3,600 degrees Fahrenheit.
Magneton	I	Electric/Steel	This Pokémon is three Magnemite that have linked together. Magneton sends out powerful radio waves to study its surroundings.
Mantyke	IV	Water/Flying	Mantyke living in Galar seem to be somewhat sluggish. The colder waters of the seas in this region may be the cause.
Mr. Mime	I	Psychic/Fairy	The broadness of its hands may be no coincidence—many scientists believe its palms became enlarged specifically for pantomiming.
Munchlax	IV	Normal	It stores food beneath its fur. It might share just one bite, but only if it really trusts you.
Oshawott	V	Water	It fights using the scalchop on its stomach. In response to an attack, it retaliates immediately by slashing.
Pachirisu	IV	Electric	A pair may be seen rubbing their cheek pouches together in an effort to share stored electricity.
Pikachu	I	Electric	When Pikachu meet, they’ll touch their tails together and exchange electricity through them as a form of greeting.
Piloswine	II	Ice/Ground	It rubs its snout on the ground to find and dig up food. It sometimes discovers hot springs.
Piplup	IV	Water	Because it is very proud, it hates accepting food from people. Its thick down guards it from the cold.
Ponyta	I	Fire	It can’t run properly when it’s newly born. As it races around with others of its kind, its legs grow stronger.
Probopass	IV	Rock/Steel	It uses three small units to catch prey and battle enemies. The main body mostly just gives orders.
Psyduck	I	Water	Psyduck is constantly beset by headaches. If the Pokémon lets its strange power erupt, apparently the pain subsides for a while.
Purugly	IV	Normal	To make itself appear intimidatingly beefy, it tightly cinches its waist with its twin tails.
Ralts	III	Psychic/Fairy	It is highly attuned to the emotions of people and Pokémon. It hides if it senses hostility.
Rhydon	I	Ground/Rock	It begins walking on its hind legs after evolution. It can punch holes through boulders with its horn.
Rhyhorn	I	Ground/Rock	Strong, but not too bright, this Pokémon can shatter even a skyscraper with its charging tackles.
Rowlet	VII	Grass/Flying	During the day, it builds up energy via photosynthesis. At night, it flies silently through the sky, on the prowl for prey.
Rufflet	V	Normal/Flying	If it spies a strong Pokémon, Rufflet can’t resist challenging it to a battle. But if Rufflet loses, it starts bawling.
Sealeo	III	Ice/Water	Sealeo live on top of drift ice. They go swimming when they’re on the hunt, seeking out their prey by scent.
Shellos	IV	Water	There’s speculation that its appearance is determined by what it eats, but the truth remains elusive.
Shinx	IV	Electric	This Pokémon generates electricity by contracting its muscles. Excited trembling is a sign that Shinx is generating a tremendous amount of electricity.
Skuntank	IV	Poison/Dark	In its belly, it reserves stinky fluid that it shoots from its tail during battle. As this Pokémon’s diet varies, so does the stench of its fluid.
Snorlax	I	Normal	This Pokémon’s stomach is so strong, even eating moldy or rotten food will not affect it.
Snorunt	III	Ice	It’s said that if they are seen at midnight, they’ll cause heavy snow. They eat snow and ice to survive.
Snover	IV	Grass/Ice	It lives on snowy mountains. It sinks its legs into the snow to absorb water and keep its own temperature down.
Spheal	III	Ice/Water	This Pokémon’s body is covered in blubber and impressively round. It’s faster for Spheal to roll around than walk.
Stantler	II	Normal	The curved antlers subtly change the flow of air to create a strange space where reality is distorted.
Staraptor	IV	Normal/Flying	The muscles in its wings and legs are strong. It can easily fly while gripping a small Pokémon.
Staravia	IV	Normal/Flying	It lives in forests and fields. Squabbles over territory occur when flocks collide.
Starly	IV	Normal/Flying	They flock around mountains and fields, chasing after bug Pokémon. Their singing is noisy and annoying.
Stunky	IV	Poison/Dark	If it lifts its tail and points its rear at you, beware. It’s about to spray you with a fluid stinky enough to make you faint.
Swinub	II	Ice/Ground	If it charges at an enemy, the hairs on its back stand up straight. It is very sensitive to sound.
Tangrowth	IV	Grass	Tangrowth has two arms that it can extend as it pleases. Recent research has shown that these arms are, in fact, bundles of vines.
Teddiursa	II	Normal
Toxicroak	IV	Poison/Fighting	It bounces toward opponents and gouges them with poisonous claws. No more than a scratch is needed to knock out its adversaries.
Turtwig	IV	Grass	It undertakes photosynthesis with its body, making oxygen. The leaf on its head wilts if it is thirsty.
Ursaring	II	Normal	Although it has a large body, it is quite skilled at climbing trees. It eats and sleeps in the treetops.
Wurmple	III	Bug	It lives among the tall grass and in forests. It repels attacks by raising up the spikes on its rear.

Zubat	I	Poison/Flying	It emits ultrasonic waves from its mouth to check its surroundings. Even in tight caves, Zubat flies around with skill.
