Other than being sued by two pretty big companies, you’d also end up with a game like Realm Royale, an interesting battle royale title with a very WoW-like aesthetic. The game shocked many when it came out by being shockingly good when everyone expected another Fortnite clone. Since then, the game has been ported to a pretty wide array of different systems, so does that mean it’s cross platform? In short: yes it is. You can enjoy this game with your friends whether you’re playing on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, or PC.

So yes, Realm Royale does support crossplay between all of the major platforms, although it hasn’t always been that way. When the game came out it already supported crossplay between PC and Xbox One, but with Sony being more stubborn than most, it took a little while before crossplay was expanded to include the PlayStation 4. As soon as the Nintendo Switch port went live, it had native crossplay included.

How to Play Realm Royale Crossplay

Luckily, enjoying crossplay in this game is pretty simple. When you enter regular matchmaking in the game, you’ll be automatically paired with players regardless of their platform. If you want to play with your friends in a party or a team, then you’ll need to add them to your friend list first, which you can do using their unique username.

Does Realm Royale Have Cross Save/ Cross Progression?

As with many Hi-Rez games, this one also supports a form of cross progression. As long as you have all of your platforms linked to the same Hi-Rez account, you’ll be able to share your progress no matter which system you’re playing on. The only thing to bear in mind is that you can’t transfer premium currency, so make sure you spend it on the platform you buy it on.
