It’s finally coming. Resident Evil 8 DLC has been announced, but what is the Resident Evil Village DLC release date & pricing?
What even is the DLC, and what can you expect from the content? We take a dive and find out everything that we know.
What Is The Resident Evil Village DLC Release Date?
So the Resident Evil Village DLC is entitled the Winters’ Expansion and will launch on October 27, 2022. this year. As stated over on the PlayStation blog post, there’s a few pieces of content involved here such as:
- Full Third-Person Mode For The Game
- Mercenaries Additional Orders (Arcade experience with Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg and Alcina Dimitrescu)
- Shadows Of Rose, a full story DLC featuring the daughter of Ethan Winters as the playable protagonist.
It’s worth noting that we know Shadows Of Rose will be the final piece in the Winters Saga. This suggests that either we’re moving onto a whole new story inside of the Resident Evil universe with new playable characters, a return to some old favourites or that Rose will be playable going forward with no real baggage from her previous adventures, nor from her fathers.

There’s also a new trailer currently up showing off the content in Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, with new glimpses of the story and the third-person gameplay. Shadows Of Rose releases in just over a week.
