Rumbleverse – Release Date & Details
A new battle royale is on the way!
Yes, a new battle royale is releasing!
This time it’s Rumbleverse and we’ve got the release date and additional details you’ll need in preparation for the launch on August 11, 2022.
Funnily enough, the game is being published by Fortnite creators – Epic Games.
However it is being developed by Iron Galaxy Studios.
What is Rumbleverse?
Rumbleverse is a battle-royale however with a twist! It’s not a traditional run ‘n’ gun battle royale as you look to fight it out in Grapital City.
Alongside this, you can personalise your fighter however you would like and has some resemblances to Knockout City last year.
From Epic Games themselves, they have described the game as:
“Rumbleverse is an all-new, free-to-play, 40-person Brawler Royale where anyone can be a champion. You play as your own unique citizen of Grapital City, as you battle your way to victory!Customize your fighter by mixing and matching hundreds of unique items, and stand out from the crowd. Get launched from a cannon, drop into the streets, and prepare to throw down! Where you land is up to you, but beware — there’s chaos around every corner and on top of the tallest skyscraper!Leap from rooftop to rooftop and smash open crates looking for weapons and upgrades.Each round is a new opportunity to discover new moves and perks that’ll give you the edge in your quest for glory.”
What is Grapital City?
Grapital City looks to the be inaugural map that Iron Galaxy are releasing for Rumbleverse.
As expected, a Season One will look to launch later this year and it’s highly likely Grapital City will be first map in the game, it’s not expected that we’ll see any map rotations unfortunately.
Is Rumbleverse free?
Yes!
Rumbleverse Premium Editions
Two editions will be available for Rumbleverse alongside the free-to-play option: Starter Pack & Founder’s Pack
These will consist of goodies we’ll break down here.
Rumbleverse: Starter Kit
As mentioned in the name, the starter pack is primarily often bought to give you a head start in the game.
It’s expected that in this pack you’ll receive one option of additional cosmetics as the one pictured above with the unicorn mask!
Additional cosmetics give you the extra freedom to create your brawler exactly how you want.
You’ll also receive an additional 600 Brawlla Bills to spend in the shop. It’s unclear what exactly can be spent in the shop but our assumption varies from cosmetics to emotes to moves (possibly?)
Rumbleverse: Founder’s Pack
In this pack, it’s expected more goodies will be available but at a higher expense as with most founder’s packs are.
You’ll receive however 2,000 Brawlla Bucks rather than the 600 in the starter pack will gives you additional in-game currency to save or spend at launch!
As the picture shows too, you’ll have an array of cosmetics at your disposal too!
Rumbleverse Prices
The price for the founder’s pack is currently listed on the Epic Game Store for $19.99. This was the original price for early access.
However it is expected that it’ll continue to stay at this price until developers take it off the market.
To sum up what you get in the larger Founder’s Pack, it’s as follow:
- Three of each the following Karatgi items: Jackets, Trousers, Gloves and Shoes
- 2,000 Brawlla Bills
Rumbleverse Season One
As mentioned in a press release, it’s expected that Season One of Rumbleverse will commence on August 18, 2022.
It is then expected that we’ll see a battle pass for players who enjoy the game to grind out at their expense!
