That’s the official PC system requirements and our Sonic Frontiers PC System requirements are done! But when was the game originally announced?

When Was Sonic Frontiers Announced?

SEGA first announced the game during The Game Awards last year and showed off more elements of the actual gameplay throughout this year. The initial trailer showed Sonic running through dense forests, but later gameplay showed off waterfalls, massive overworld islands, a new battle system, a new cyloop ability (among other new abilities), the ability to parry, side quests, cyber space, desert landscapes, a weird disembodied voice and so much more. There are even puzzles in the game now, so we can anticipate that it’ll be a rather hefty prospect.

You can read our game preview from EGX 2022 above, but we got to see Sonic perform multiple parries, counters, dodges, and combos, travel through the signature Green Hill Zone at Sonic Speeds by going through portals (not even gonna apologize for that pun) and see an incredible evolution of Sonic Games that honestly looks much better than expected. There’s even a wide range of skill tree upgrades to unlock across the mysterious Starfall islands, with enormous structures to climb on the way and robotic hordes to absolutely dismantle as and when you want.
