Survival games are hugely popular for a reason. Sure it might have started with developers trying to get some of the success left behind in the wake of Minecraft, but there’s just something compelling about trying to survive a difficult situation. Stranded Deep is a game that captures the classic scenario of being trapped on a tropical island and needing to gather food and shelter while dealing with the many hazards of the deep ocean. If you have played the game before, you know that this isn’t an easy task, which is exactly why you need console commands.
Stranded Deep console commands can keep you alive during even the toughest situations, and change the time of a day on a whim. You can even spawn in any items that you could ever need on the island. Check out the console commands that we’ve found for you below.
How to Enable the Console
Like some of the best games out there, you won’t have to jump through any hoops at all to get the console working in the game. You can tap either the backslash key (\) or the key that is underneath Escape to bring up the console.
Stranded Deep Console Commands
There are a limited number of commands available in the game, and they all have the potential to corrupt your saves. If you’re going to use any of these, then backup your saves beforehand if you don’t want to risk losing them, and remember that you should only use these commands if you’re okay with having most of the sense of challenge in the game to disappear.
Command Effect | Console Command |
---|---|
Unlocks all commands in the console | dev.console true |
Toggles god mode (no damage + can fly) | dev.god |
Enables or disables the FPS counter | fps [true/false] |
Sets the time to [0-24] | dev.time [0-24] |
Saves the game log to a text file | dev.log.dump |
Shows the game log in your console | dev.log.view |
Completely clears the game log | dev.log.clear |
Shows you a list of all available console commands | help list |
Gives you more information about [console command] | help [console command] |
Stranded Deep Spawn Items
While that’s most of what you can do with the console commands, you can spawn items once you’ve typed in the dev.console true command, you can hit forward-slash (/) to bring up a menu that will let you spawn any item you like. Keep in mind, when using this menu the item will spawn directly where you happen to be looking at the time.
