The Street Fighter 6 demo is finally here – giving gamers the chance to try out Capcom’s latest entry into their acclaimed beat-em-up saga. The demo, which can be downloaded for free right now, features a handful of modes, including: One on One, Extreme Battle (‘Down & Out’ x ‘Bull Run’ and a Tutorial (Beginner: Classic/Modern/Dynamic). But what characters are in the demo? And will any more be coming? Here’s everything you need to know.
Street Fighter 6 demo characters
There are 2 characters in the Street Fighter demo. These are: Luke and Ryu. There is currently no official news on whether or not more characters will be added to the demo. You’ll be able to battle across two stages, the Genbu Temple and Training Room. While there are only two characters, there’s also an Avatar Creation mechanic, which allows you to create your own fighter and play as them during the first part of the story.
The good news is that the Avatar you create in the demo version can be used in the full version of the game, as long as you are playing on the same platform. Just make sure not to delete your save data, as it’s required for the transfer.
You won’t be able to use any online features in the demo hub, and the Battle Hub is not included. The main menu also will be restricted ahead of the game’s full release in June.
To play the demo, you’re going to need at least 25GB of space on your PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. If you’re on PC and looking to play on Steam, you’ll need the Steam client installed… obviously.
