Are you looking for an Apex Legends Mobile gun tier list for the perfect loadout? You have come to the right place. We’ll be ranking all the available weapons in the mobile version of the game, specifically for how they play in the mobile version. Note that this list is subject to change as new weapons are released and buffs/nerfs are made by the developers.

What is Apex Legends Mobile?

Apex Legends Mobile is the newly released version of EA’s hugely popular squad-based Battle Royale game, now playable on your smartphone. As discussed in our Apex Legends Mobile tier list Season 1 piece, the number of playable characters is currently limited compared to the main game (although one unique character for mobile players is included). The number of available weapons also differs, but by a less substantial margin. Players must pick from a range of characters (known as Legends), each with a different ability and playstyle, and the best weapon to match, though what weapon best suits you depends partly on your level of skill and personal preferences. Some weapons you start a round with, others you have to pick up from the ground, and a few are only available in Care Packages called in during the round. Thankfully, there’s no pay-to-win in Apex, meaning all weapons and upgrades are available for all players the second they drop into the map.

Our Tier ranking system

  • S Tier – The picks in this bracket are the strongest in the current metagame. These are the picks you’ll either be seeing in the esport tournaments, your favorite streamer play, or in higher-level ranked games.
  • A Tier – Picks in this bracket are overall very good. They are the weapons that are historically always strong, but not quite meta favoured at the minute. Perhaps these are the picks that are not necessarily dominating the game but are certainly strong enough to be competitive.
  • B Tier – Overall, these weapons are good, not amazing. They come with an equal amount of strengths and flaws.
  • C Tier – Sadly these weapons are slightly weak. Generally, you should avoid playing them unless you want a bit of casual fun.
  • D Tier – These weapons are relatively unplayable and weak. They need a serious buff or a huge meta shift to become relevant again.

S-Tier

R-301 Carbine (Assault Rifle) – S Tier

The R-301 dishes out high amounts of damage, and though it starts with a small 18 round magazine, this can be upgraded to 28 shots – making it the best mid-range gun in the game and also capable at short and long ranges as well. A superb all-rounder.

R-99 Submachine Gun

The R-99 is another gun which requires skill to use, thanks to its high-recoil and small starting magazine (20 rounds), but its monstrous rate of fire make it one of the most feared weapons at close range and Apex legends Mobile’s best SMG, thanks to its very high damage dealing potential.

VK-47 (Assault Rifle) – S Tier

The VK-47 is actually a superior weapon in Apex Legends Mobile compared to the PC/console version of the game, thanks to its predictable recoil pattern at medium-long range. If you learn this well, this fairly slow-firing assault rifle is a great pick for ranged engagements when upgraded with a scope, or for hip firing at close range.

Peacekeeper (Shotgun) – S Tier

The most powerful shotgun in the game, the Peacekeeper requires good aim, as the rate of fire isn’t the fastest, plus it has a long reload time, but it’s accurate and in skilled hands can wipe out full squads at close range.

Kraber (Sniper Rifle) – S Tier

The superior sniper rifle in Apex Legends Mobile, with the most powerful shots in the game, the Kraber can only be picked up in supply drops. It takes skill to use the Kraber well, given its slow rate of fire and small magazine size, but any headshots with this badboy will instantly knock down an enemy player.

A-Tier

Wingman (Pistol) – A Tier

You need good recoil control and an accurate aim to use the Wingman effectively, but it has one of the most powerful shots of any weapon in Apex Legends Mobile, so if you can master it you can dominate in close rang-fights. In the right hands, this is the best pistol in the game.

Prowler (Submachine Gun) – A Tier

The Prowler is another burst fire weapon, but unlike the Havoc is a much better close range weapon with great hip-fire accuracy. If you pair it with the right upgrades (a 1x-2x Variable Holo or 2x HCOG Bruiser for instance) it also has the accuracy to perform decently at longer ranges.

Volt (Submachine Gun) – A Tier

A submachine gun that fires energy bolts, the Volt is has good mid-long-range accuracy despite its class, a very high rate of fire, and yet limited recoil. A superb starting weapon for Apex Legends Mobile.

Spitfire (Light Machine Gun) – A Tier

The best Light Machine Gun you can use, the Spitfire has pretty high accuracy at both medium and long-range, and though the fire rate and reload time aren’t the fastest, it deals a lot of damage, including a 2x headshot multiplier. The gun is found as ground loot and has various upgrade options, though comes with a base mag size of 40 rounds.

(EVA-8) Shotgun – A Tier

A fully automatic shotgun, the EVA-8 can absolutely destroy people at close range, and it’s the most accurate shotgun in the game for hip-firing. You won’t get the same damage you would from the Peacekeeper, but it’s a more forgiving gun for beginners to Apex Legends Mobile.

HAVOC (Assault Rifle) – A-Tier

The Havoc the has fastest projectile travel speed of any assault rifle in the game and the highest upgrade options when it comes to magazine capacity (the base size is 24 rounds). It does have high recoil along with its high rate of fire, meaning you have to know how to control this to use it effectively.

B-Tier

Hemlock (Assault Rifle) – B Tier

The Hemlok assault rifle shoots either a three-round burst or in single-shot mode, though the former is generally outclassed by any fully automatic assault rifle at close range. We’d recommend sticking with single-shot mode at medium range, where it is a decent damage dealer, providing you land your single shots.

L-Star (Light Machine Gun) – B Tier

Compared to the PC/console version of the game, the L-Star comes with a larger magazine capacity (90 rounds) in Apex Legends Mobile. The main downside of this gun remains the huge recoil which makes it a difficult weapon to control, though the large number of upgrades can help mitigate this somewhat. Inferior to most other rapid-fire weapons, but in the right hands, it can dish out a lot of damage.

Longbow (Sniper Rifle) – B Tier

Although it lacks damage-dealing ability, the Longbow is a solid long-range sniper rifle with one of the highest ammo capacities in the game for its class, and it comes with a great range of upgrade options, specifically the large number of scopes.

C-Tier

G7 Scout (Sniper Rifle) – C Tier

Although it has a decent fire rate, this semi-automatic rifle requires good aim and is generally outmatched by all other rifles in the game in terms of ease of use. Designed for mid-long-range engagements, the G7 Scout will get you killed pretty quickly in close quarters fighting.

D-Tier

Alternator (Submachine Gun) – D Tier

The Alternator SMG has a fairly tight spread when shooting from the hip, but that’s about all the positive things you can say about it. Compared to other SMGs the rate of fire is slow and damage low, and it’s not great over range.

RE-45 (Pistol) – D Tier

A fully automatic pistol, the RE-45 has the unfortunate combination of a fast fire rate but small magazine size (16 rounds) and doesn’t do a great deal of damage either. The only arguable advantage is that it uses Light ammo which you may have a surplus of.

P2020 (Pistol) – D Tier

The P2020 has a decent rate of fire for a pistol, as well as low recoil, decent accuracy when shooting from the hip, and a fast reload time, however, it’s completely outmatched by the other weapons in terms of damage. If you’re against someone with an automatic weapon, chances are you won’t do well.

Final Word
