Genshin Impact is one of the most popular games to launch in the last year. With the game’s recent 2.1 update, there will be even more weapons and characters in the game – Claymores especially. So,  if you’re a fan of using Genshin Impact Claymores, then we are listing the best Genshin Impact Claymores in a Genshin Impact Claymore tier list. Tl;dr It’s our Genshin Impact Claymore tier list!

Genshin Impact Claymore Tier List

Our Genshin Impact Claymore tier list will rank all the 25 Claymores currently in the game as of 2.1 launch. The best Claymores in Genshin Impact are fairly straightforward: If the weapon is 5-star, it will probably rank the highest on the Genshin Impact claymore tier list, as they are designed to be the best claymores in the game. The issue is with ranking the 4-star quality Claymores, as many of them have different perks. Keep in mind that each Claymore is designed to fulfil a different purpose, and we are generally ranking them on their overall effectiveness for the role they are intended to fill.

One thing worth noting is there are a few really good Claymores that are only useful for very specific Genshin impact characters. The reason why is because these weapons scale with certain elemental affinities, such as Pyro, Electro, Water, etc. If your character does not use these affinities, you will find weapons like the Rainslasher are useless unless you use Hydro, for example. Keep this in mind when we go through the Genshin Impact Claymore tier list.

Tier Claymore
S+ Tier Wolf’s Gravestone, Song of Broken Pines, Skyward Pride, The Unforged.
S Tier Favonious Greatsword, Sacrificial Greatsword, Prototype Archaic, Blackcliff Slasher, Serpent Spine, Whiteblind, Luxurious Sea Lord.
A Tier Lithic Blade, Snow Tombed Starsilver, Rainslasher, Royal Greatsword, The Bell.
B Tier Katsuragikiri, Skyrider, Debate Club, White Iron.
C Tier Ferrus Shadow, Quartz, Bloodtainted Greatsword.
D Tier Old Merc’s Pal, Waster Greatsword.

Best Claymores in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact Wolfs Gravestone

Wolf’s Gravestone

The Wolf’s Gravestone is one of the best Claymores in Genshin Impact. The weapon is well suited to any Claymore-wielding Genshin Impact character who wants to tear apart entire teams or bosses fighting you. The weapon is so highly rated because of its Wolfish Tracker, which increases your ATK by 20~40% (depending on ascension level). While that isn’t attractive in itself, your attacks against opponents with less than 30% HP will increase all party members’ ATK by 40~80% for 12s. Do be aware that the passive can only occur once every 30s. If you get the higher percentage, you and your allies will melt through the hardest content in the game with ease.

Song of Broken Pines

Like the Wolf’s Gravestone, the Song of Broken Pines provides another incredible team-wide buff. Its Rebel’s Banner Hymn passive does two different things. The first increases your attack damage by 16~32%, and when Normal or Charged Attacks hit opponents, the character gains a Sigil of Whispers. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3s. When you get to four Sigils of the Whisper, you and your party gain a Normal ATK SPD improvement of 12~24% and attack damage bonuses of 20~40%. These buffs are amazing and work for any character in Genshin Impact.

Skyward Pride

The Skyward Pride is really good if you like playing a Claymore that uses magic to deal damage. The reason why is that by performing an Elemental Burst, Normal or Ranged attack, you will unleash a vacuum that deals 80% of your attack damage to enemies that are hit along the vacuum’s path. When you compare the weapon to other elemental-themed Claymores like the Debate Club or Snow, you can easily see it stands as one of the best Claymores in the Genshin Impact claymore tier list.

The Unforged

Genshin Impact Unforged Claymore

The Unforged is another great Claymore. If you are a player that likes to go all in and take damage, the shield and damage passive the weapon has is great. The Golden Majesty passive provides a shield strength bonus of 20-40%. Moreso, landing hits increases your attack damage by 4% (capping at five stacks). Although, when you are shielded, your attack damage bonus increases to 100%. The two other claymores like this tier are The Bell and Whiteblind, but they do not have anywhere near as powerful bonuses. If you like this playstyle, look to equip these two weapons until you manage to grab yourself the Unforged.

Luxurious Sea Lord

One of the new Claymores in Genshin Impact 2.1 is the Luxurious Sea Lord. This Claymore is kinda insane, as it summons a giant tuna to come and beat up your foes for 15 seconds whenever you land an Elemental Burst attack. The tuna deals 100% attack damage as AOE, so it is pretty insane against multiple targets and when fighting enemies individually. It also increases Elemental Burst DMG by 12%, further improving Elemental Burst damage. If you like Elemental Burst plays, go play.

Blackcliff Slasher

Blackcliff Slasher is one of the best DPS-focused Claymores in Genshin Impact. This is one of the only four-star weapons we highly recommend outside of the five-star rarities. The Press the Attack passive allows the wielder an extra 12-24% attack damage for every killing blow it gets (lasting for 30 seconds). The damage bonus can stack to 36% to 72% attack damage. If you can keep this buff up, you can also outclass the bonus damage from limited procs. It is the entire reason why it ranks so high in our Genshin Impact claymore tier list.

Fanovius Greatsword

If your Genshin character requires plenty of energy, you may find the Fanovius Greatsword is more to your taste. The weapon’s Windfall passive grants six energy for its wielder every few seconds whenever you land a critical strike.

Prototype Archaic

For those who love to cleave down their opponents with their giant Claymore, the Prototype Archaic is an incredible weapon. The Crush passive has a 50% chance on every charge or on-hit to deal 240% attack damage to opponents within a small AOE around the player, which resets every 15 seconds. It makes it one of the better AOE focused Claymores, even beating the likes of the Snow Tombed Starsilver for its consistency.

This concludes our Genshin Impact claymore tier list. We hope you got a sense of the best Claymores in Genshin Impact, along with our quick analysis of why some Claymores stand out amongst the rest. If you would like this tier list, why not check out our other Genshin Impact tier lists?
