The new Genshin Impact 2.1 update is out, launching tonnes more content for everyone to enjoy. The new features include fishing, new characters, and fruit knocking around, but that doesn’t satisfy our action needs. If that is the case, meet Genshin’s Thunder Manifestation, a brand new Electro Oceanid boss that players can unlock right now.
You will need to start a quest chain called the Seirai Stormchasers to unlock the Thunder Manifestation Genshin boss. To get the quest, you’ll need to visit the Adventurers guild in Inazuma City and speak to the NPC, Katheryne. She will inform you about the blue enchanted and stormy island known as Seirai.
The gist of the story is a scouting party went to the island, but there’s trouble afoot. A reputable adventurer like yourself is the obvious solution to getting the scouting party to do their job. Once when the dialogue is finished, you’ll start a quest chain called the Seirai Stormchasers. Now that you’re on the quest chain, get yourself on a Waverider and sail off to the mystical island of Seira.
When you finally make it to the island, you will want to speak to Eiko and Taisuke near Koseki Village. Both NPCs are the scouting party Kathyrne mentioned back in Inazuma City. Follow their lead from then on to progress through the acts of the Seirai Stormchasers questline.
When you get to the third act of the Seirai Stormchasers, you will start exploring the centre of the Seirai island, at the source of the storm. You’ll interact with different poles on the floating islands as you try to get the storm under control. When you complete that act of the Seirai Stormchasers, you will begin descending down, interacting with Electrogranums. The Electrogranums recenter all the floating debris, allowing you to walk down the broken atmosphere. This is very important for unlocking the Thunder Manifestation Genshin boss.
After that stage is complete, you’ll then get prompted to touch the Paper Charm Hangers to unlock the final stages of the Seirai Stormchasers questline. You will then get into an in-game cinematic that will summon the Thunder Manifestation Genshin boss at the centre of a newly formed floating island.
Once the boss is summoned, you can begin fighting the heart of the storm itself. The boss is a floating purple electric themed boss with a mixture of ranged and melee moves.
The first phase of the fight casts lightning strikes, including incoming purple lightning fields to dodge. The Thunder Manifestation can also dash towards you. Be prepared to dodge its dash and slash. We advise keeping to the side of the boss after it dashes. Be aware of her charged attacks, as the Thunder Manifestation summons a lightning field that maintains in an area on the floor, dealing damage if they remain inside it. Note the field will continuously try and follow your character around. Moreso, she will recast the lightning wall that you avoided at the start of the fight. The Thunder Manifestation Genshin boss will repeat these tactics until it dies. Congratulations, you’ll have beat the Thunder Manifestation boss!
