V Rising’s most scarce resource in the early game is Whetstone, an important part of the progression. Luckily for you, we know a few ways of getting it. Here is everything you need to know about getting Whetstone in V Rising.
How to get Whetstone in V Rising
Whetstone is an item you can get largely from world drops. There are a few locations you can get easily farm it in the woods. Here are the best early game locations for you to get Whetstone in V Rising
- Bandit Armory
- Bandit Encampment in the south
- Bandit Stronghold in the north
The best place is the Bandit Armory encampment in the northwest of the woods. You can easily find it as the big encampment on the left side of the crater that runs through the middle of the woods. Be careful, the enemies around here are slightly tough, with a variety of shield units, rogues, rangers and of course, Greyson the Armorer.
When you start moving into the higher gear score areas of the map, you can also get Whetstones from other areas. For example, you can get it from the Bastion of Dunley, found in the Dunley Farmlands. However, Whetstone becomes less significant once you have made the basic castle structures.
How to make Whetstone in V Rising
If you want to make Whetstone in V Rising you need to following materials:
- Furnace
- 1x Copper Ingot
- 12x Stone Dust
- Whetstone Recipe
If you fancy making yourself Whetstones in V Raising, you can unlock the recipe from Greyson the Armorer. Greyson the Armorer is found in the Bandit Armory in the North West of Woodland. The exact location of Greyson is in a pit at the very top of the hill. Head into the camp, find the dirt path heading up the hill and follow it. Eventually, you’ll find the pit on the left side at the end of the road. He is normally accompanied by two rangers, with more spawning throughout the fight. He also has a charge attack and a spinning hammer attack to avoid.
Upon defeating him, you unlock the Whetstone recipe, allowing you to make whetstone in V Rising in the furnace. This is a nice addition to getting extra sources of whetstone if you have the spare stone and copper supply.
