Valheim’s Hearth and Home update is now live. The new update launches plenty of new content, including new base building, items and other features. Furthermore, Iron Gate studios launched a Valheim Hearth and Home Gameplay Trailer for us to take a sneak peek at. If you don’t fancy reading the Valheim Hearth and Home patch notes, why not check out the Valheim Hearth and Home Gameplay Trailer to get a glimpse of the Valheim Hearth and Home details?
Valheim Hearth and Home Details
The core changes in the Valheim Hearth and Home details feature new building pieces, food system, furniture, new weapons, shield balancing, and a pet naming system. There is also a whole new health and energy system, replacing the one we know and love in the base game. There is also some new evil thing we have not yet managed to work what it is. Furthermore, in the recent Hearth and Home details page on steam, Iron Gate mentioned some net content that the developers are deliberately leaving as a surprise.
On Twitter, the devs heavily advised starting a new game and character for the update. It appears these surprises are in the Plain biome, which goes back to the point that Iron Gate made on September 15. It seems whatever is lurking in the biomes is big and nasty, and they want us to experience it organically.

Valheims Loxs are a focus point of the new Valheim Hearth and Home details. The reason whys are because you can now tame and name your Valheim Lox(s).
If you’re wondering how to take a Valheim Lox, simply heard them into a pen and feed them until they become tamed. You can feed them a variety of berries, carrots, Barley to keep them fed and happy. Be careful not to anger them while they are in the pens as you don’t want them to wreck the place. Once they are tamed, you can now name your tamed Valheim Lox.
Note the Valheim Hearth and Home patch notes allow you to name other pets like boars, wolves and the Lox. Live your pet taming dream in Valheim now!
