Orokin Cells are one of Warframe’s most useful resources, being a vital component in crafting prime weapons, frames and parts. They have a chance to be dropped as loot by all of Warframe’s bosses, however, they are quite rare, and some missions (and bosses) have a greater chance of dropping Orokin Cells than others.

Whether you’re new to the game or a wise old Tenno, these tips will give you a greater chance of farming the precious space potatoes for all they’re worth.

Firstly, the best way of farming Orokin Cells is by running these missions with mates, as a good team will ensure that you can cover more ground when searching maps for Orokin Cell Arrays, as well as giving you an easier time when it comes to defeating difficult bosses.

What items can help with Orokin Cell Farming in Warframe?

Although teamwork helps, it isn’t completely necessary as Solo players can also farm effectively by running the right missions and equipping certain frames.

All players can significantly increase their chances of finding Orokin Cells by equipping:

• Nekros Warframe – His Desecrate ability ensures that enemies have a higher chance of dropping additional loot, including Orokin Cells. This frame is very useful for farming survival missions.
• Khora Warframe – Her Pilfering Strangledome augment means a greater chance of enemies dropping additional loot. Her high DPS means more enemies killed, and therefore more loot.
• Hydroid Warframe – The Pilfering Swarm mod for his Tentacle Swarm ability means a greater chance that enemies will drop additional loot. Plus he looks like a pirate.
• A Master Thief mod – This will give you a greater chance to unlock locked lockers, and potentially net you any hidden Orokin Cells.
• Resource Drop Chance Boosters will also – unsurprisingly – boost your chances of enemies dropping resources. If you have them, make sure to slap them on your Tenno before starting a mission in order to increase your luck.

Where to farm Orokin Cells in Warframe?

With these tips in mind, here are some of the best places to farm Orokin cells in 2021.

Saturn

Tethys – Assassination (Level 24-26)

In this mission, you’ll have to defeat General Sargus Ruk, who will very kindly drop at least one Orokin Cell on death. What a nice guy! A great bonus for this mission is that it has a high chance to spawn Orokin Cell Arrays, so search the map (and resource caches) thoroughly to bag those extra Cells.

Helene –  Defense (Grineer 21-26)

Helene is a great farming map for levelling and farming resources. This Defence mission has a lot of enemies to kill, which gives you a high chance of getting some of those sweet, sweet Orokin Cells as loot. What’s not to love?

Piscinas – Survival (Infestation 26-36)

This survival mission comes with an added +20% Resource drop chance, so it’s recommended that you bring a team with you. Having at least one Nekros on the squad will ensure that their Desecrate ability increases your luck with loot drops.

Ceres

Gabii – Survival (Infestation 15-25)

Gabii has a generous +35% resource drop chance, and like the other survival, maps are well suited for teams. Find a dead end and wait for the enemies to come to you. More teammates equal more kills, more kills equal more drops, more drops equal more Orokin Cells. That’s good maths!

Exta – Assassination (Level 14-16)

On Exta you’ll be assassinating Lt. Lech Kril and Cpt. Vor. That’s right, two bosses, which means double the chance of receiving an Orokin Cell once you’ve killed them. This mission is also useful for farming, as a greater number of Orokin Cell Arrays spawn, so exploration is key. Can you believe they leave these things lying around? Bring a team if you want to cover more ground in less time.

Seimini – Defence (Infestation 15-25)

This defence mission has an increased +35% resource drop chance. It is also a fantastic overall resource farming spot, as there is a good variety of loot dropped by enemies.

As always, teaming up with a Nekros equipped with Desecrate will give you that bonus luck, plus someone to insult enemies with.

Deimos

Magnacidium – Assassination (Level 20-25)

Assassinating Lephantis is a good mission for Solo players as it’s a pretty easy fight (shoot him in his mouths). Lephantis himself also has three heads, so he counts as three bosses (sadly he doesn’t wear three hats). That means there’s three times the chance that he’ll drop Orokin Cells! As a bonus, he also has an additional chance to drop neurodes.

Deploying Distilling Extractors on Ceres, Saturn and Deimos is an excellent way of passively farming Orokin Cells over time.  Deploying more extractors will increase your chances.

Keep an eye out for Alert missions – some of these will also offer an Orokin Cell as a reward. You can never have too many.
