Warzone 2 UAV Towers — How To Find And Activate Them

Warzone 2 has seen a number of new additions including the new Gulag map and the return of the Resurgence game mode. However, some more minor additions are coming to Warzone 2 that many players need to be aware of, particularly the new UAV towers that can be found across Al Mazra.

Fans of the DMZ game mode are already well adjusted to these towers, but this is a first for Warzone 2 and quite the game changer at that. Being able to scan your nearby area while activating a tower quickly is quite nice. It is also a good way to let everyone know right where you are. Let’s go over how you can find these new UAV towers and use them in Warzone 2.

How To Find The New UAV Towers In Warzone 2

The location of these UAV towers can be a bit random, as such, you need to know what to look for on the map to find them. Normally UAV towers are in the middle of high-traffic areas such as cities and POIs. So scanning those areas on your map is what you should do first.

The icon for the UAV towers appears as a small radio tower on the map, simple click to mark it once you have found the one you want to go to. THis will give you a waypoint on your HUD so you know exactly where it is at all times.

How To Activate The UAV Towers in Warzone 2

Activating the UAV Towers won’t cost you anything, so you can save your money for the buy stations. All you need to do is walk up to a UAV Tower and interact with the Laptop at the bottom of it. This will start a short animation after which, you and your team will get several UAV sweeps of the surrounding area.

Since this is a free UAV, it is not as effective as the killstreak UAV, covering a much smaller area and lasting half as long. The area that a UAV tower will cover tends to be about as big as a medium POI, so you won’t be able to cover a full town with a UAV scan and find all the nearby enemies.

Just be aware that when you active the UAV Tower, all nearby enemies get notified that it is going off. So they will know right where you are after you active it. If you are looking for fights, this is a great way to start one. However, you will want to move quickly away from the tower if you just wanted the intel and not to fight.
