Weird West has plenty of antagonists that you’ll meet throughout the game. One of those is Mayor Weeks, who first appears as part of the Bounty Hunter’s main story. This character makes you commit a crime of some kind so he can get what he wants, and so you can get information. However, there are quite a few options to complete the Weird West Mayor Weeks mission.

The Bush Creek Farm Deed

Weird West Bush Creek Farm
After this conversation head to the house if you want to go the farm deed route.

After the bounty hunter first meets up with Mayor Weeks, he tells you to visit the Bush Creek  Farm and get the deed for his tobacco production. When you get there, you can then decide to comply with Mayor Weeks still, and steal the deed from the family. How you do that, however, is up to you. You can of course kill everyone and watch your reputation decline, or, you can sneak in and steal it.

Either way, the deed is in the same location regardless of the methodology to take to get it. The deed is inside the house, locked away in a safe. You’re going to somehow need to get the safe combination or come back with five lock picks to get into it. The safe combination is located in the basement of the house, which you can break into using three lockpicks or to take a key from one of the farmhands. Be careful about ambushing the farmhands as it could lead to retaliation and discovery. You’ll then find it in a chest at the corner of the basement. You can then try to head upstairs and take the deed from the safe.

Remember to sneak around the best you can to avoid the chaos that unfolds.

Weird West’s Mayor Weeks’ basement

Weird West Mayor Weeks Basement
Rescue the person who was in this cell and get the information you need.

However, if you fancy helping the little guy out, then the farmers let you in on a secret. They say there’s a basement and Mayor Weeks is doing things he shouldn’t do down there. So, if you fancy getting into this basement then you need to return to Galen’s Crossing.

From there, you should get back inside the compound and head to the Tobacco warehouse. It is forbidden for you to go inside, so, it’s time to sneak around. We recommend using the slow time skill in case you need to walk fast and avoid a patrolling staff member. You need to make it into the room at the very corner of the warehouse, just to the side of the main production benches. Normally, getting in there unseen requires some waiting, but opportunities to sneak in do arise.

Once the coast is clear, head into the side room and you can head into Mayor Week’s basement via the trap door and get down. In the basement, you’ll find someone you can rescue, who is another prisoner of the Shelby Cross siren meat market they are obsessed with. Rescuing the individual tells you all the dodgy stuff Mayor Weeks is doing, and you also get information about where your good meat husband is getting held.

Mayor Weeks’ Safe

Weird West Mayor Weeks Safe
Climb this balcony or make your way to the outside stairs and sneak around. Your choice.

For all those who want a third way, which you don’t get told about, it turns out you can steal the information from Mayor Weeks. There is a document containing information about your husband’s location in his safe in the upstairs section of his hacienda. However, all the stairs are guarded by his men, so getting through is tough. Luckily, you can go to the outside stairs and use objects to climb over walls to avoid the line of sight of Mayor Weeks’ guards. Alternatively, you can jump towards the balcony if you want and get in through the window to get access to the safe behind the desk and you can get out with the information in your hands.

It is worth mentioning if you do the basement or safe method in the Galen Crossing, then later on the information on Mayor Weeks spreads through the land. It means you can eventually get a bounty hunter mission much later in the story to claim the bounty of Mayor Weeks.

Mayor Weeks is Wanted: Dead or Alive

It is not only you who becomes aware of the crimes that Mayor Weeks is up to. If you managed to find the letter in his mail, then other people know what Galen Weeks is up to. So, it is only a matter of time till everyone knows of his crimes. As a result, a bounty hunter mission can be claimed, similar to Shelby Cross.

As part of the game’s long list of trophies, there is one called Elusive Prey, which has you collect a bounty successfully on one of the main antagonists. One of those is Weird West’s very own Mayor Galen Weeks. As you pay through the game, you’ll eventually stumble upon a bounty hunter mission in any of the major neutral settlements and claim his bounty. Simply go to the location and pop him and you should get the kill confirmed, hand it in, and you get a nice juicy payout.

To do this, you need to keep Mayor Weeks alive during the third chapter. You are tasked with getting the Eduardo Olvidado Bracelet as part of the Protector’s journey. However, if you manage to pickpocket Mayor Weeks and take the bracelet off his person, you can then keep him alive to trigger the bounty hunter mission later on. It is similar to knot killing Shelby Cross in the Copper Mountain for that matter.
